The Dark Knight

A bunch of us from work got tickets to the midnight opening of the new Batman film. Some of them were surprised I wasn't aware there WAS a new Batman flick (But hey... I don't watch tv, and don't go to too many movies in theaters. Easy to miss out on the announcement).

Now, I'm a big fan of Tim Burton's first Batman, and didn't really go nuts for Batman Begins. This one, though, is really good. What makes it is the villains -- mostly Heath Ledger's Joker.

I still like the Burton one better, but Ledger hit the Joker spot-on, and TDK is the best Batman movie since 1989. Go see it.

Worst pies in London

Two comments about Sweeney Todd:

I don't think 19th century infants wore huggies.

I've owned rats for years, and while I've heard them make all sorts of noises, not once have I heard the standard movie rat chitter.

Oh, and Helena Bonham Carter is starting to worry me.

Now I have this urge to go re-watch Edward Scissorhands... and read Titus Andronicus. Or see Titus again.
