Got a new monitor today, the start of our 'new computer' phase. And with it hooked up to the laptop.... DUAL MONITOR, BABY!!
Still having some color issues, but not much...the two are pretty close now.
Just spent about 4 hours playing Twilight Princess.... Holy crap, I think the tip of my thumb is numb. XD Into the Palace of Twilight....I think I've gotten the shit beat out of me more in this temple alone than any other temple in the game!!
But I'm moving closer to the end....and it makes me sad. I've probably killed about 4 hours this week running around, playing minigames cause I don't want it to end.
At least I finally have a Zelda icon. XD
Is it wrong that I find that nifty little sheathing move that Link does after some serious ass kicking insanely sexy? XD
*sigh*
Jim is currently trying to revive the dead PC. Thank god for Tara and Ryan.... If it hadn't been for all their extra space, I don't think we could have saved the other files.
Now we're ready to drop about $350 on a backup/networking server.... I don't know the details - just two 160GB harddrives.... on top of whatever we throw back into the PC. Wheee.
I'm reminded today why I used to have huge issues with Mac. Trying to connect the laptop to the PC to transfer the Temari piece to print, the damn thing hanged. It'll let me do everything that doesn't involve the desktop, logging out, or restarting. Jim's side *had* been fine, until I tried to shut down from his login......
*sigh*
All of my google searches are telling me *why* it's happened...but not how to shut it down. It's not like I can just cycle off the power...it's a laptop for crying out loud.
And of course, the only people I know who are Mac proficent are out of town until Monday night.
Guess I'll just have to let the battery run down....
ETA Never mind...finally got the damned thing to cycle off.
