There are more but I just can’t remember their titles, but even though I am a Filipino, I don’t really watch Filipino drama series, I am more into Filipino movies.
My mother watches dramas from ABS-CBN only (she’s doesn’t care about the competition from our countries broadcasting company but she really only watches ABS-CBN unless watching news), and because of this, since then, I too only watch ABS-CBN (and other more channels still owned by ABS-CBN Corporation). I rarely switch channels to other local channels.
Dramas I am planning to watch:
- [Korean] Arang and the Magistrate
- [Korean] Can you hear my heart
- [Korean] Five Fingers
- [Taiwanese] Absolute Boyfriend
A little pride worth sharing.
I can remember that it was hot and about 2 o'clock in the afternoon that time. I, Raissa, and Nova were passing just right in front of 3M (a restaurant). I was holding a plastic bag filled w/ emptied cola cans, that we just drank, and some other plastic rubbishes. Because it was too warm, I was kind of getting irritated at the plastic bag because it keeps on making my palms sweaty, I was so thankful when I found a garbage sack nailed on the tree.
"Wait." I said. Because my friends knew that I was going to throw the plastic bag that I was holding, they also gave me some rubbishes they are holding. They waited for me to dump our trashes, but just as we started walking again, a man, probably in his late 30s or early 40s, called us.
"Mga ading (Kids), where do you go to school?"
We tried ignoring the man but he asked us again.
"We don't know." Nova finally said. Of course, we're not the type of persons who just give information to some strangers. But, the man, probably thinking the same thing that we're thinking said, "No, it's just that your trash…" Then we realized, maybe the sack wasn't really for garbage. The sack was empty, so we're not sure.
"Oh? It wasn't a trash bag?" I asked and started inching near the sack.
"Alla (Oh my)! Go look at it." Raissa told me. We laughed, an embarrassed one.
The man and his companions were looking at us, amused.
"No. No. It's just pleasant, looking at you (us) that you're disposing your garbage right… Others just throw theirs anywhere they wanted."
"Oh, ok!." we said.
While we continued walking again, we felt a smile in our lips. Just after we turn to another street, we said/shouted:
"Saint Tonis, manung (sir)."
"We're STCI students."
"Saint Tonis College"
All I can remember after this was we're chattering, laughing and also we felt very proud. It was just nice getting praised, even if it's just for the little thing that you've done.
