Ahiru and Lilie - squish!face

Nördlingen

Hello everyone~~

I just got back from a 2-week trip in England and Germany and while I was in Germany, I was able to go to Nördlingen! It is, as most of you know, the town that Kinkan/Gold Crown town is heavillyyy based on. I was staying in Munich with a friend so it wasn't too far by train. (Thank you Jallou for helping me with the trains~~though they changed the schedule xD;;) I know pics of this town have been shared here before but ahhh I wanted to share mine, regardless!

I probably should have refreshed my memory with some episodes of PT before the trip but I stumbled upon some of the more notable landmarks that you see in the show.

Thanks for looking!

(I actually have no idea what to tag this post, mods! I'm sorry. D:)

Nördlingen, Germany

I apologize if this has been posted before, but I've had these pictures floating around on my computer for a while.

Nördlingen,Germany is a town in the Donau-Ries district, in Bavaria, Germany, with a population of 20,000. It is located in the middle of a complex meteorite crater, called the Nördlinger Ries. (copied from Wikipedia).

The various buildings, landmarks, and other notable features remind me strongly of the setting of Princess Tutu.  Some things like the chapel, the water fountain, the balcony when Ahiru is looking for Mytho, Charon's shop, various alleyways, that bridge where you ask all your questions, and the ruins in AKT 10, I believe, are easily spotted.  Thus, I'm making this picspam for you to enjoy the Real-Life-ness of Princess Tutu to your heart's content.

Feel free to fangasm. xD

German in Princess Tutu

Greetings, fellow Tutu-ists! I’m a first-time poster, novice LiveJournal user, long-time lurker and pretty big Princess Tutu fan.

To keep this introduction short – I’ve studied German for about 5 years now, and in an attempt to retain as much of the language as possible over the summer, I have been finding new ways to read, listen to, and interpret German. Since I knew there was a lot of German in Princess Tutu, I went through the series to see what I might be able to translate. My findings proved to be rather interesting.

I should warn you that it'll be kind of image-heavy.

Fakir's birthday?

(This is magicdragonomg  on her roleplay account.)

This might seem rather random, but does anyone know if Fakir has an official birthday? If he does, does anyone remember when it is? I thought it might be in either of the rare Tutu guidebooks, so I thought to ask the community in case someone with a guidebook might know.

On the subject of birthdays, there's no specific need to have these, but it would be interesting to know the birthdays of the rest of the cast as well.

Help Me?

Hello!

I'm mostly a lurker and this is the very first time I do believe that I have posted to this group. So um, hi! Trust me though, I LOVE Princess Tutu with all my heart and soul. I love it so much I bought the series TWICE! The boxset was far too pretty! >_<

Anyway! I was hoping someone could help me with something. Ages and ages ago I found this site that had pictures of Nördlingen and pictures of Princess Tutu to show how simaler they were. There was even a movie on You Tube at some point. Anyway I really wanted to show a friend these but it was so, so, long ago I'm having trouble finding them? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? And if so where to find them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Princess Tutu official site profiles

It seems like people really would like to have this info, so I dug it out and polished it a bit. This is info that was listed on the official Japanese Princess Tutu site about each of the characters. It had some profile info including height, weight, and likes and dislikes. I also included the little description that was below them but it is VERY roughly translated, with some effort on my part to make it more understandable. If you're curious, I highly encourage you to search on Way Back Machine under the official site's URL (listed below) to see the original Japanese text. There is also some blurbs on the Guest characters that I didn't try to translate.

But, I hope this is a cool little bit of trivia for PT fans! :D
