Ash

(no subject)

In light of the events of the game Diamond and Pearl, weaseldog_ltg09 and I are contemplating whether or not to include the Grass type Eevee that we created in this series now. On one hand, we seem to much prefer our Daiseon to the canon one. Then again, it kind of ruins its appeal now that one exists. So, here's a poll for anyone who wishes to vote.

Poll #835383 A question.

Should we not include Daiseon (Grass type Eevee) in the story now?

Don't include it.

Standard Grass Starter

Alrighty, time for the Grass-type starter to make its debut! I originally intended to put the Water-type up first, but development issues are holding me back and I'm anxious to post!

Along with Squirmug, Towala is a starter Pokemon that is typically given to new trainers of the Germanic Region upon the passing of their Pokemon Licensing Exams. Towala and its evolutions, Kobrass and Bronzylum make up the family of the Grass-type starter.

Here you all go! Hopefully, this one is just as good as the other Pokemon I've put up here. I'll see you all next time, and I'll bring the Water-type starter with me!

Standard Fire Starter

It would turn out that the special starters (Purrnip, Caropan, and Wyvent) are not the usual starters for the region in which the story takes place. They are a group of special starter Pokemon that our main characters get the opportunity to choose from due to certain early circumstances (none of which are waking up too late to get the usual starters). Therefore, we thought it about time to introduce the region's standard set of starter Pokemon! These starter Pokemon follow more of the same rules that previous starter Pokemon have, so they are of the classic types (Fire, Water, and Grass) rather than the unusual types of the special starters (Dark, Psychic, and Dragon).

First off, we have the Fire-type starter! It's the smallest of the three, and probably the most cute, cuddly, and speedy. Introducing Squirmug, the Squirrel Pokemon, and its two evolutions Hoardeal and Rodetect!

Existing Pokemon Gets A Much Needed Evolution!

Alright, while we're on the topic of some new Pokemon, why not add some that stem a little bit from the existing list of breeds? For those of you who don't mind such additions, here's one you might actually find very awesome (or want to kill me for ever thinking this up)! So without further ado...

Mermarry: The Passionate PokemonCollapse )

Well, I hope you don't mind the addition of a brand new Water dual-type. Now I'm just wondering if any of the main characters will be able to find out (and then set up) the special condition for the evolution into this unique Pokemon!

New Bug Pokemon

Okay, here we have a special treat for the bugcatchers out there! This is a branch-evolution family of questionable allegiances, ranging from the defender of the weak to the hunter of the innocent and all with musical inclinations.

Let's hear it for Gnanote, Trebeetle, and Bassquito!

Special Starter Evolutions Data

As I said before, I'm back and I brought some Pokedex data for the evolutions of the special starters!

A few notes first... the starters typically retain their stat comparisons throughout all their evolutions (The relationships between their stats stay the same, though their stats do go up when they evolve, of course.). In true starter form, they also retain their special pinch-damage-increase abilities.

Caropan's EvolutionsCollapse )

Wyvent's EvolutionsCollapse )

In case you didn't notice, Wyvent gets a second type when it evolves into Burdrak.

If you have any questions, just comment and I'll fill in any details you point out to me that I missed! Hmm... if only we could finally get some pictures of the Pokemon posted up here...
