Okay, here we have a special treat for the bugcatchers out there! This is a branch-evolution family of questionable allegiances, ranging from the defender of the weak to the hunter of the innocent and all with musical inclinations.
Let's hear it for Gnanote, Trebeetle, and Bassquito!
Name: Gnanote

Pokedex: The music of this Pokemon is appealing to its audiences, but can also have disasterous effects on those that cross it. This Pokemon's true motives are unknown.

Description: Gnanote is a cute little cricket Pokemon with a height of 1'2'' and a weight of 0.3 lbs. It plays a mysterious variety of music with its violin legs, which it uses to captivate others who come by and spot it. Its body is primarily a bright yellowish green, and its eyes are big, round, and tinted red. These eyes are at either side of its head and stay the same for either evolution. Gnanote has a small mouth which appears to be in a perpetual frown. It appears to be docile, not bothering anyone unless it begins playing for them. It is still unknown whether it plays with the intent of luring prey or of entertaining friends.

Pokedex: A beautiful pokemon with a desire to help others in need, it can heal sickness using sound waves. It is considered a blessing to see swarms of it pass overhead.

Description: This evolution combines cricket traits from its earlier stage with beetle traits, growing larger, rounder, and heavier. It is now a height of 4'6'' and a weight of 1.7 lbs. Its body is mostly green, with yellow spots and a white underbelly. It has the most developed wings of the family, hidden by the yellow-spotted shell. Its antennae can also produce sound now, as they ring like bells with a soothing light. Its long violin legs are conserved in this stage, as well, leading its forelegs to also be long in order to hold up its body properly. Only the hind legs produce sound.

Pokedex: This Pokemon is a gluttonous fiend that tears away at its prey in the night. It uses different sounds to lure in the curious innocents it likes to attack.

Description: Bassquito mixes traits of its previous cricket form with those of a mosquito. Its body is now larger and heavier, getting to a height of 3'11'' and a weight of 2.1 lbs. It has grown a mosquito's needle snout, which can actually be retracted as needed to make use of its powerful jaws when ripping into prey. The snout is used for slowly draining from incapacitated prey, while the jaws provide a means of breaking through the tougher, more delicious meals. Its wings are small, almost shriveled-looking. Its body is colored with black and dark green hues. Bassquito makes sound with its violin legs and through its mouth.
Evolution:
- Gnanote will evolve into Trebeetle when exposed to a Sunstone.
