Abstract

Human rights-based mental health support would amount to psychosocial services without coercion. However, dispensing with coercion and delivering preference-based support would have considerable consequences and dilemmas. This chapter describes the expected consequences and dilemmas of dispensing with coercion, as well as possible ways out of the foreseeable problems.
