Abstract

Gender Based Violence has drastic impact not only on the psychological but also physical state of the victims. The victims suffer from decline of physical health, and it is responsible for causing PCODs, diabetes at a very early age, obesity and other chronic health issues. On the other hand, they do suffer from mental traumas leading to depression, anxiety and sometimes it leads to suicide. Technology has brought the world closer and it has brought revolution in the lives of common people. One of the vast use of technology is the use of social media handles. Almost 80% of teenagers and young adolescents have smart phone with them which facilitates them to login to their favorite social media handles like X, Instagram, Whatsapp etc. However it’s a common fact that the victims are mostly technology friendly indicating that they know how to use social media for communication. Various educationists across the world have opined that technology could be the best possible way to cub Gender Violence. Therefore the basic objective of this paper is the use of technology to prevent the users from getting victimized by the perpetrators.
