Abstract

Gender based online violence is a product of globalization of technological innovation and development. Sometimes the victims get trapped knowingly or even without their awareness. There have been many instances where women have been friended by guys over online mode. After that things progress into meetings thereby leading to intimacy which can cause serious consequences affecting their mental and physical health. In some cases the victims have been murdered or they have committed suicides. However there are various coping mechanisms for the victims which can motivate them to survive in their life. This paper is an attempt to make the victims understand the dangerous impact of socializing via online mode and its drastic consequences and discuss the coping mechanisms for them at the same time by which they can lead a very healthy life.
