tiny moments

I'm part of the wonderful hogwarts_elite community (you should join!), and a couple of weeks ago, I asked my fellow Badgers to help me create a House Fanmix. This is the result.

I'm sharing it here because several of my friends have been sorted in Hufflepuff at Pottermore, some with wonder, so here's a little something to welcome you to the house I've called home for years.

THIS LIST! I've been adding and taking out names for months. Then, when I had decided the top 10, I couldn't find clips for all of them, so I had to screencap them and ugh, so much work. Really. verogeller and I both adore Harry Potter and Avatar, The Last Airbender. We've read the first and watched the second several times, and -at one point- we started making a list of all the similarities between the too. A couple of years after (really, it took us that long), we decided to post it (well, I decided to post it and not let it be lost on a notepad somewhere) and share it with you. We hope you enjoy (even if all the items are very old news, indeed).

If you follow my personal LJ, you'll know that I've been obsessed with the Harry Potter musicals. So, obviously, I had to make a list about them.

I apologize in advanced for the crappy quality of the pictures. I really wish there was a better version of the musicals online because the copy I have is all grainy. :(

I've been trying to cast these books since I finished the first one. It's been incredibly hard coming up with young actors who look the parts but also have the skills to pull them off. In the end, I had to leave the physical characteristics behind, and focus on the actor I think would be perfect for the job; or simply, the one I pictured in my head when I read the books.

For those who haven't read the books, and are curious about them, you can read a summary of the first one here.


Three more things:
1. This post only includes characters in the first book.
2. I couldn't make up my mind in a couple of them, so I decided to include both choices.
3. There are mostly British actors under the cut. Just FYI.

I had this list done and I don't know why I didn't post it before, so here it is.

I apologize for the crappy images, it was VERY hard to find anything bigger than 300x200 in a medium quality. WTH, Google? I guess it's because most of these are not on DVD. Anyway.

Disclaimer: I watched cartoons in Spanish because I didn't understand English yet. These are cartoons I watched everyday, eating my pan con palta or pan con manjar in front of the telly. I'm a child of the 80s so here we go...
