Diet is going ok. Did really well resisting heavy mexican food this weekend. Instead got a Mexican Salad and some cheese enchiladas.
My budget is coming into place. Is it INSANE that I spent $810 at the grocery store and Costco last month? I know that the costco stuff will last a while but DAMN!!!
Nephew. Joe is the cutest little boy. Wish I could see him more, but oh well, maybe this second kid will be a little better than the first.
Honorary Auntie. Jason's sister in law is going to pop any day now. It's amazing how clueless some expecting fathers are! I'm sure it's going to be a big time wake up call for them when the baby gets here.
Work. Still doing ok with work, but it's been hard to get up and get to work these days. I like work, not opposed to it, but damn the backwards way this company runs!!!
The remodeling project has begun...last week they took out some windows and now they are killing the ceiling downstairs. There is literally a pile of insolation downstairs that is as tall as me! That would be 5'11" if anyone doesn't know how tall I am!
That's the way I feel this morning...My writing is going well (see my writing journal) and everything else seems to be going well. Work is going great, and life at home, of course isn't 100% perfect, but it's as perfect as it's been for over the last year! :)
This is awesome. I doubt though that Dandelion Keeper is going to be finished with the first draft...there was a jump in the action that I need to go back and fill in, but the basic structure is there waiting to be built up. The ending is shaping up. There is one random scene in there that I'll need to either drop or turn into a dream. It's a sureal "Crazy Britney" scene that might be a little too intense for this story.
PS--Another 10 hour day is ahead of me...gotta love 7am-5pm days. Only saving grace...OVERTIME!
I'm going to try to get 750 words written today. I've got spreadsheets to work out for work...Stupid F'ers at work can't get their act together. They print out a Sales History list with 100 something categories on it that don't match the Stock Status report and yet somehow I'm supposed to compare the two? Stupid people!
Tonight I've got to pack for the camping/riding trip tonight and won't be able to get much done over the weekend. I'm taking a notebook with me, but I doubt that I'll have time or the interest in sitting and riding when I can be out riding my bike! hehe
I wrote 1,753 today on The Dandelion Keeper. My MMC Carter has thrown something into the plot and if written correctly I can make this story a lot more interesting than it was!
Everything else is going well. My spreadsheets are going to drown me, but that's ok cuz it's 2 hours until I leave...that's only 2 hours more to look busy!
I got a raise! It's not going to totally change my life or anything like that...but it's a good start! 2,000 extra dollars a year...that is about 96 cents more an hour!
So one of my job responsibilities is to keep our phonelist up to date. So I sent out a copy last week that I had asking our branch secretaries to update their branch's information. Two days later I sent out a reminder, then a day after that I sent out another reminder with LAST CALL FOR CHANGES in the subject....I got probably 14 out of the 18 branches information back so I complied the changes, made them and reprinted everything and sent out copies via email.
Yesterday, right after I sent copies out to everyone, I got changes that needed to be made. Then again this morning I got changes. I'm so pissed off about this because people are making ME look incompetent since the email of the changes always comes from me. I'm starting to think that people don't think I can do my job because we're now on version 4 of our phone list!
If another person asks me about the damn Hydrant Pen Holder project that is taking up space in my day and on my desk I'm going to rip out my hair and I'm going to punch them! The timing on this project got screwed up because of the holidays and I told everyone that we wouldn't get all the pieces to assemble these things until the 9th.
The busy-body totally annoying like nails on a blackboard guy who is helping me with this project is up here every two seconds wondering about the freaking project. I finally told someone else that if they had questions not to ask the annoying guy but to ask me instead because the annoying guy is at my desk about 20 times a day and having someone else ask him something sends him up here for time 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25!!!
frustrated
