overmoreI already rambled about this on tumblr and twitter but I need to do it again for clarity's sake and because it's nice to have it all on one place.
Ever since I've gotten into Lumbus Company, I think this is the first time I've having a lot of fun exploring characters in a one shot over my usual long fics for that. They still end up being slightly longer than 3k words (so far only one has been shorter than that) and the one I'm doing now is gonna end up around 7k minimum, maybe even 8k depending on how the nsfw part goes.
I absolutely have more sexy stuff planned but it's not taking the front lines with these two for sure. Gregor and Sinclair really have some fun stuff to work through regarding their characters and the shit they went through, and even when building from what we have in canon and going into fanon is fun.
And on topic of planned stuff, not counting the fic I'm not working on and Hell's Bistro, I have... 3-4 ideas so far? It's been a while since I've been this hyper with ideas not going to lie. One of them actually has the nsfw focus and one has a bit on the side, mostly to fit with the song I'm basing the fic off of, and the other two are focused a lot more on emotions and the environment they're in and how it treats them. I have yet to write a fic that focuses on homophobia on a larger scale of the world, so I guess now's the time to tackle that one.
A tweet about Bakugan came up on my timeline and I remembered that that is my Roman Empire anime. I have so many fond memories of it, and not just that, it is my first for a lot of things.
First time I shipped myself with a fictional character.
First time I made shit up in my head that could easily be a fanfic if I know what that was (I was 9 so didn't know of it).
And ALMOST first gay ship because I didn't realise you can like. Like someone of the same gender.
The last one is very funny to me because I was making up scenarios in my head about them meeting as children and being friends and one of them admiring the other a little too much for a guy friend. Like it was all there and I just didn't realise I can just make them gay.
And to top it all off? I went to the ao3 tag that has like, 600 fics for the whole original series (all 3 seasons, no reboots) and do you know what I see at the top of the list of the most written ships? This:
Child me knew they were gay af but didn't have the words for it. I need to rewatch the season 2 and write a single damn fic for them. Just for the fact that I did not realise i could do that when I was that age. As a treat.
Now back to Limbus rambles... Have I mentioned I love Thumb IDs? Meursault is a little too sexy for me just to pass up on it, and Sinclair is a little cutie who should who should stop trying to shoot himself the moment I lose a coin on an event or lose a battle, thank you bud. Anyway. I need to see him under Meursault again. There's one fic that I love that I've been rereading and it makes me go insane every time and I need more of it. I'll have to do it myself so gotta work on my other stuff for it too so that it all ends up well and I have the time and energy for it. I need to see Sinclair cry and be crushed by his boss.
