My problem is simple, so I'll keep this post short: I'm Italian, and I need help with practising and speaking my European Portuguese. I'm already having lessons with Portuguese teachers, of course, but I really need to speak more on my own.
It's been quite hard to find anything really useful on the Internet because I keep ending up on Brazilian Portuguese things, so I was wondering if there are any European Portuguese speakers here that could point me to some active Portuguese community (even outside livejournal), or even better if there are people interested in some Skype language exchange.
I'm learning Japanese myself and I thought that maybe some of you guys might want to as well. (:
I'm using LJ as a way to document everything I'm learning, so feel free to poke around my entries and maybe you might be able to pick something up yourself! I'm learning via a site called Textfugu, which is really amazing and I urge you all to check it out. It's got free lessons but it DOES have a cost of 120USD (or 20USD monthly) after a few free lessons. However, I paid the fee and am going to be sharing what I learn as I go along, if you truly can't afford it.
For those who gets upset with the last events in Japan, who care about the destiny of Japanese people, who would like to help but doen´t know how - if you do not have money to donate, you still can help!!!
I'm a student at McGill University in Montreal, majoring in Psychology, minoring in Linguistics. For this term I’m doing a project on ... well, I wish I could tell you but that would ruin the purpose of my study. But I'll tell you later in case you're interested. That's why I'm looking for English/German bilinguals*, English/French bilinguals* and German or French natives acquiring English as a second language.
Hi all :) My name is Lena :) I'm 26, living in Saint-Petersburg Russia. I want to learn to speak English, so I am looking for anyone to speak English with me :) And I will be glad to help with Russian, if you learn it :)
I recently started up a LJ-comm for practicing different languages in the form of short (200 or so words), entirely random posts in whatever language you may be learning and having others more fluent in that language to either correct you or just comment on your posts. It's really quite open, so you can talk about anything you want and you can write in whatever language you want! However, I'm looking for some more members, so if you're either a) wanting to practice a language you're learning or b) a native or fluent in a language that's not English, I really, really encourage to visit. I'm especially looking for people fluent in German, French, and anyone with any knowledge of Japanese (I have posters, and not anyone to really help them out ^^).
So please, come and take a look here: linguafrancka? Thank you!
