i won't bother talking about the other bands that came before nightwish, although epica and flowing tears would be worth mentioning :P
nightwish! i couldn't believe my eyes. tarja is the most amazing woman i've seen perform. EVER. yes, even better than the cure and placebo! anyway, they played songs from their new album, but luckily more from their older ones (i'm just so devoted to the older ones... which doesn't mean i don't like their new album!). i was hoping for them to play dead boys poem and all of the sudden the lights started to fade and the boy started talking. i nearly fainted..... they were so genuine, talking to the audience n stuff. when tarja went to change clothes, the guys played a megadeath cover ^__^ which was nice, because i think their voices are fab. then she came back and they did a few more songs. after playing for 70 minutes they told us the sad news that they were going to play their last song. of course, i started jumping even higher, i started singing even louder. <3 i was wearing my boots so i could see everything pretty much perfectly. we were all the way up front! it made me claustrofobic but it was bloody worth it! then they finished playing... i was so sad because i had been so euphoric all night. they truely made my inner me smile. but they came back, and asked if we wanted more. WELL D-fucking-UH!! they told us that they wanted us to all have an angel....... and we got one last song. and it was great. i was bumping into other people, i was sweating all over, my hair was damn wet, i had to put icecubes in my corset to cool off (to prevent fainting o.O) but damn, did i have a great time.
i love other bands so much now, but nightwish is my first and true love, or so i discovered yesterday.

this is me, squealing on sunday morning with my beloved ticket.
