Growth of the Soil by Knut Hamsun It's often called his greatest book. And having read Pan, I have to agree.

After trying to get through two really aggravating biographies I've switched to frilly reading and am going through all my L.M. Montgomery  books. From the Emily books to the Pat of Silverbush books. With Anne between. All of them :)

I'm currently reading "The Lost Life of Eva Braun" by Angela Lambert. If you like bios, and are tempted by this one...pass on it. What a horribly done biography. I can't keep sifting through these stupid details the author keeps shoving in about her own unrelated mother issues and her (while deserved) comments about David Irving. Instead of a decent biography, she drags too much personal crap into it. And her web citations and footnotes are seriously annoying.
