The player accessing a wardrobe to change their clothing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Wardrobes are items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that the player can interact with to change their clothing. In addition, they can also use a wardrobe to adjust the outfit that they can wear when using a wand.

The player cannot use a wardrobe to change their clothing if they are currently wearing a wand outfit, their pockets are full, they are using the Island Designer app, or are wearing a wet suit.

Interaction

Interacting with a wardrobe opens the clothing interface, even if it's placed outdoors on their island. Opening another player's wardrobe will show icons of clothing items comprising one of that player's outfits that has been saved to a wand. Opening a villager's storage unit will show icons of any clothing items they have acquired.
