This is a new song about Xena. This is going to be cute, fun, and sweet. Fritz, Oliver, and Naoki all want to help me celebrate this small tortoiseshell kitty who will be 2 years old this summer.

Happy way early birthday, sweetie! I hope you still like to play fetch, Xena. No doubt, you still must be full of energy. You probably still jump up on a counter, trying to stick your little nose in the wet cat food can as your current caretaker(s) open them. I hope there's another cat (or dog) for you to wrestle with and pounce on.

I still love you so much, Xena. I always will... It didn't at all feel right to have to separate from you, Sam, and Pumpkin, but there was no one else to look after you on our behalf. If I ever find out where you are now, and could be allowed to go visit you, I would!!! I know I can't get any hopes up at all for that, but I know that wish exists inside of me. It might never come true, but there's still no forgetting about you.

I wonder how many newer favorite soft toys she has. I imagine she would have found new places to hide them. Silly little baby girl. After playing with her favorite fabric mice or little ball toys, she had done that.

This idea for a newer song about one of the three sweeties I still miss at times. Today, I suppose it's finally time to make it. It's been a long enough while since I last did any songs about them.

I'm not sure but this might end up being a bittersweet song... With two of my closest friend muses, I'm sure this will help be more of a comfort song. I knew I have recently "heard" Fritz gently encouraging me to go ahead and make more songs about Sam, Xena, and Pumpkin.
