more rebuilding (or lack there of) and eminent domain news!!!

found these while looking at google news. all about New Orleans and recent developments:

New Orleans plan angers residents
...They were upset by a recommended four-month moratorium on rebuilding homes in some affected districts...

Hostility Greets Katrina Recovery Plan
NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 11 -- Angry homeowners screamed and City Council members seethed Wednesday as this city's recovery commission recommended imposing a four-month building moratorium on most of New Orleans and creating a powerful new authority that could use eminent domain to seize homes....

Doesn't the government realise that the people aren't happy with the plan? And the people are what comprise the city, put them in office, and who they are supposed to be representing the feelings and ideas of not their own!

edit anyone knwo how to contact the ACLU??? I think this is a matter they may be able to help with, hopefully. And if we all contacted them then they might realise that their help is wanted/needed.
