I just wanted to let everyone know we do have an active group on Facebook! You can find us under Lolita's of New Mexico.
I try to host monthly meets and con events! But if you don't have Facebook but would like to be informed of our meets please email me at kittywooddesigns@aol.com
i recognize that this community has been fairly inactive for a while, but i'm having a hard time finding new mexico lolitas otherwise. i've only been living in the southwest for almost two years and very recently moved to las cruces from el paso. my line of work is making it very hard to make friends, so i wanted to try and reach out to the lolita community here. i really only own two dresses at the moment, but i have great aspirations and plans for more. i'm 24 years old and lolita is something i've wanted to do for a very long time (since i was about 16) but this is the first time in my life i've had the means or opportunity.
if you all are more active somewhere else, i'd love a link so i can join and speak to people. i'm very nervous about this because i'm normally terrible at making friends, but i am also very determined to be sociable. i hope that i can find my way in this community and i am eager to speak to you all.

Good evening! I found this group after learning about it at Conjikan in Albuquerque this weekend. I just moved to Albuquerque 3 months ago. I design and sew mostly in the Rococo and Sweet Lolita Japanese couture fashion. I have done about six dresses so far and a whole lot of socks, purses, knee highs, chokers, and wrist cuffs. I don't dress in brolita myself, but just enjoy seeing my pieces in this genre. Plus, I like getting unique lace from all over the world and incorporating into something beautiful. I was encouraged by the local gothic lolita group to join and get involved. Anyway, I am pleased to meet you all even if it is virtually and look forward to seeing you all in person. Cheers!

Greetings, lovelies!
I think this is my first time posting here. I started the Facebook group for NM Lolitas. I was wondering how many of us are there? And whereabouts we all are as well.
For starters, I live in Taos, and I have dreamed of hosting a tea party sometime. I'm trying to gauge how viable this is for those of us living in New Mexico. Albuquerque is about as far as I'm willing to drive, probably for a weekend stay... I understand there's a lovely tea room there. :)
...but I dunno how capable we are of doing that right now. I just finished school up. =D
How many people are still alive here, or otherwise? How many have the time? Anyone want to have one? Any suggestions? Anyone on? =P
