Constant Craving

Well, after 2 years, I finally managed to not only write something, but actually finish a story! And posting... I feel like I'm leading myself down a dark corridor, but I finally figured it out. Yes, it's been that long.

It's that time again!



For the past 4 years, bluespirit_star has organized, moderated, and run the SGA Art Santa exchange. Sadly, this year she was not able to devote to time to running the exchange and put out a call for help. I answered that call. With so many of our favorite SGA fests disappearing, I couldn’t bear to see another one lost. SGA Art Santa has been running since 2007 and has produced some amazing art pieces for the recipients and all SGA fans (seriously, you should go check out the Master List tags). I know there’s still more where that came from, still some very talented artists active in the fandom, and I invite those artists to sign up for the 2014 SGA Art Santa and keep the tradition going. Clicking the banner takes you to this year’s info and sign-up post, and sign-ups are open through October 15th. Hope to see you there!

Robin Williams - an immensely talented man who could cause your sides to split from laughing one minute and move you to tears the next - may he finally find peace.

He will be sorely missed.

My cover to cactusonastair's marvelous casestory fic. Possibly NSFW, so it's behind the cut. If you are a fan of Inspector Lewis and the 'dishy' DS Hathaway, this story is a must read. Even if you just love mysteries, the writing is brilliant and the story will suck you in faster than you can say, "too right."

One thing I've found is that I've begun to take things way too seriously, or in the words of a true Monty Python fan, "I'm no fun anymore!" Definitely need to work on that.

It's amazing to think this is the 5th year for Squee Weekend. Five years of SGA Squee, five years of meeting amazing Stargate Atlantis fans, five years of episode re-watching and thought-provoking discussion... five years of fun and lasting friendships!

It's nice to know as the SGA fandom waxes and wanes that there are still folk out there who love the show and want to get together and talk about it. Not that we don't go off on tangents into other things: writing, reading, coffee, food, Rodney McKay's ass and why it should be worshipped… well, you get the idea. One thing's certain - we have loads of fun and we hope you'll consider joining us this year!

Woo Hoo! Best Birthday wishes to my dear brain twin. I hope you've had a lovely day and may the coming year bring much happiness, love, and lots of squeeeeeeing. I had hoped to have a wee bit of Brendan and Vincent for you - and actually did write something out in longhand - but work got in the way and then I went and left the hand-written pages on my desk (in my haste to vacate the building).
