This is a contest for Navy: NCIS icons. Each Sunday, a screen capture will be posted and you will be allowed to make one icon from it as your contest entry. Friday evening, the submissions will be closed and you will be asked to participate in a vote that will determine the winner for the week. All ages, skill levels, and graphics programs are welcome. The following rules will be in effect:
1.) Any contest participants caught copying from other participants will be banned from the community forthwith.
2.) You are not allowed to vote for your own icon. If you do, your entire vote will be considered null and void.
3.) Stock photos are allowed, and you may do whatever you like with the contest cap for the week. However, the use of other photographs that are not stock photos will not be allowed.
4) Please make sure your icon is hosted on a RELAIBLE host for the duration of the contest and the voting. That means NO Geocities, Angelfire, LJ or GJ urls. They are VERY unreliable. Anyone using these WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. If your icon doesn't show at the time of the voting it can't be voted on, so it's your responsibility to make sure that your icon shows up, NOT OURS. Check out Photobucket for photohosting needs. :)
5) Your icon MUST be LJ USER FRIENDLY. This means no more than 100x100, no more than 40kb, and ONLY in gif, jpg, or png format. Anything not meeting the guidelines WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
6) You MUST be a member of the community to participate in the contests. Voting is open to people OUTSIDE the community as well, but if you wish to play, YOU MUST be a member.
7) Only use the screencap provided UNLESS it says otherwise for that week's contest. Like if we provide a quote or song lyric INSTEAD, then you can use other screencaps. But if there is a one cap provided, only use THAT cap.
8) Pimp the community when at all possible! But be sure to be friendly about it and DON'T SPAM. Ask other community mods first if you can pimp the community. Or include a link in your own LJ or userinfo. Same goes for when posting on message boards.
9) Only ONE entry per person per week UNLESS otherwise specified. :)
10) Be sure to have fun.
Each week the winners will receive banners from our official banner maker,
teddibear stating whether they won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. Please be patient though because every now and again, she runs behind. *g*
