I'm glad to hear it! Yeah, Penguindrum is definitely in its own field of using intricate metaphors and symbolism, yet still being tasteful and enjoyable as a story. I absolutely love the blend of cartoon logic and emotional exploration. I'm still on the search to find any other anime remotely like it. The game Flower, Sun, and Rain though has been a close one, and one of my favorite games.
Maaan, I completely agree with you both with Rahxephon and the Big O! Rahxephon and Evangelion tie as what I consider the 'best' mecha series, but The Big O has always been my super all-time favorite. There's just so much character to it, and every time I rewatch it, I find something new things to enjoy.

Gosto muito do encerramento conceitual da obra, muito inteligente, mas acredito que não consegue converter para o impacto dramático em razão da velocidade dos eventos, tive um pouco de relutância em relação a isso. Em produção, acho sim precário por ser uma obra contemplativa, mas é muito bom e entendo super ser um dos seus favoritos. E dezaki é genial em tudo, difícil conjecturar qual seria seu melhor trabalho.

Hi how are you doing thanks. Can’t wait to read punpun I heard it explores depression very well I bought the manga for it and for monster too. I’ve watched the anime but it was years ago so I’m going to read it this time around. I think ppl consider the manga to be better than the anime since it’s not as slow.

Única coisa que me incomodou no gilga foi a produção, mas de resto, uma força temática e conceitual impecável, sem contar o desenvolvimento lento, gradual e ideal para estória.
