Let get's first out of the way, direction is the most important heart and soul of any filmmaking medium out there how departments such as direction, cinematography/photography, compositing, editing etc are one of the most major things in the project to make it look very good. Also Shueisha and shokagugan plus viz media are all the same companies just seperate buildings as they belong to one giant of a family "Oga family" of Hitotsubashi Group https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitotsubashi_Group
plus TOC rankings are the second most important metric for me because as Japanese redears are very brutal and honest, once survived the axe and was not sent to the bottom of TOC void, means the series has survived, and if it recieved anime adaptation it was very well recieved. So my most trusted sources are Hitotsubashi Group, kadokawa, square enix to an lesser degree, however... Kodansha I never ever trust as they have many well recieved IPs yet majority of them never got any form of adaptation. Also the reason why previous gen era anime were the way they were is they were during sponsors era which in order to get "hiatus"t hey were going on filler arc being fully outsorced as "unofficial hiatus" lasting 6 to 12 months as a large break buffer while main team was working on manga canon stuff far in advance, and then there were other half of anime which utilized 5m recap + 30s preview to make majority of episodes "short form" being 13 to 14 minutes than usual 20m full length episodes so to achieve very natural flow of panel by panel in terms of plot progresion and very fast pacing depending on the density of the chapter 6/5/4/3/2 chapters per full length 20m episode as this is what they would be adapting when calculating those short form episodes in to full length 20m episodes while adapting less like 3/2.5/2/1.5/1 chapter per short form episode so to not overtake the manga, having steady gap behind it while having no need to go on "unofficial hiatus" due to certain risks associated with it certain staff doesn't want to risk it while also airing with default very few weeks break off air depending on a timeslot, 7 week break off air + national pre empting events if daytime, and then 12 weeks break + pre empting national evets if night time slot as a buffer thus 100% were already featuring seasonal prodution, many of the episodes were 3 to 4 months in the production or some high priortity episodes 6 to even 8 months or even longer while also being on avareage 1.5 to 2 years large gap behind the ongoing manga hence why they never needed to go on "seasonal hiatus" because they were already seasonal plus for each return of these anime with canon arcs also had full on PVs for the next canon arc not an generic next episode preview, promotional materials, key visuals, canon arc specific OSTs so on and so forth, these "seasons" were just categorized by arcs as it was more easier to name by the original arc name which is also what more and more modern anime are doing such as demon slayer and bleach thousand year blood war returning to this traditional naming scheme. So also with it, there is no issue nor no worries of skipping "filler arcs" because they were used as unofficial hiatus which industry knew it very well.
Here is the clip which explains better than I do

The other thing, all of these desktop pc stores e.g steam aren't native windows aplications but just a simple websites wrapped in browsers wrapper in steam case post 2010 chromium (CEF) and vice versa to other stores such as ea app, ubisoft connect etc and the reason why these two respective apps outside steam feels so heavy, because they use full chrome stack with no in house optimization for certain modules hence why they behave the way they do because they are full on chromium browser, so also with it they cannot deploy kernel level drm because they aren't native apps to begin with but just websites wrapped around browsers

Plus remote installers were also designed for the users do be frictionless experience while once connected to steam pipe or other equilavent, it simply un encrypts the game files via internet + local user disc bandwith so to achieve greater speeds, installing required dependencies and API wrappers plus latest patches while once user waited they can play the game frictionlessly and btw offline installers also exists via "backup game files and restore" feature but the reason it needs internet is not because drm nor licence check nor authentication but simply needs to remotely connnect to steam pipe or other equilavent which then un encrypts multi archived folder but this time locally.

P.S, Japan doesn't have pork chops, fresh young potateos, boiled carrot so I am proud polish person.
Part 2 of my thread now related to speicific Japanese laws and other type of distribution;
There are certain laws in Japan which many outside it may find it surprising like the afformentioned article 175 which specifically says "Article 175(1)A person who distributes or displays in public obscene objects such as documents, drawings or recording media contained in electronic or magnetic records is punished by imprisonment for not more than 2 years, a fine of not more than 2,500,000 yen or a petty fine, or both imprisonment and a fine. The same applies to a person who distributes obscene records including electronic or magnetic records through the transmission of telecommunications.
(2)The same applies to a person who possesses the objects referred to in the preceding paragraph or stores electronic or magnetic records referred to in the same paragraph for the purpose of distributing them for a fee." *
*which means it is very strict on obscene content in Japan and CERO plus EOCS are one of the most strictest age rating for vide games policies in Japan, with even the highest cero tier ranked version such as resident evil 7 was brutally censored to the point of no recogniztion whereas worldwide including china via steam global has recieved fully uncensored versions. Also ESRB/PEGI are very leniest age rating video game boards as they follow very simple valve system such as "Tag properly, as long as it is legal we don't care" type of system which for example sth like the last of us part 2 is perfect example how it was fully uncensored featuring many fully uncensored NSFW scenes lasting for literal minutes with audio included as well not lasting even 30s.
Also rule 15 was designed by payment procesors back in summer 2025 to disclouse it officially on mainstream pc stores and stores in general to comply worldwide as every country has different culture thus different laws.**
**Also the reason why JAST USA and other niche stores weren't hit with rule 15 style payment procesors because JAST USA is US only publishers exporting from one country Japan for export only licenses as they are protected by US jurisdiction and valve is global distributor where companies from every country has different culture thus different laws in which rule 15 is very lenient in comparison to how large online spaces makes it appear to be, also fun fact, most of the adult visual novels licensed by JAST USA are prohibited by Japanese law due to article 175 and many of these came from the Japanese pc stores operating in legal grey area or small doujin circles, and also rule 10 of JAST USA which is Japanese only language in TOS also explicitly says do not bring this content to japan as this is prohibited by Japanese law.

The one I have cost 100 bucks.
Nothing wrong with it lol, even though I’m a relativist, I do agree with some universalist concepts.
Tbh I completely don't remember why I didn't respond that time, so no worries! haha
I somehow forgot to respond to your last comment about Dark, It's been on my ptw forever and I will 100% give it a shot this year!
"For me, I like all the mediums as it depends on what genres and storytelling values are prefered, for example my favorite genres are in non interactive fiction are adventure, slice of life/comedy (Tie), historical while video games are adventure, action-adventure, JRPG"
Yeah, that's true, every type of media has its strengths and weaknesses. Although I'd say that smth I always go for in any type of media are time travelling stories.
"Yes, as within this main folder, there were 42 folders for each individual anime featuring multiple txt files categorizing each season and each having (e.g "black clover season 2 episode 1- unfinished" to then "black clover season 2 episode 1-finished" etc) inside txt files, in which once added all of those anime I had in my folder on my mal profile in summer 2022 mal as it splits seasons in modern anime, it suddenly showed I watched 150 anime and completed 4k episodes😅."
Insane lol. I wouldn't like that sort of arrangement for keeping track of anime or TV shows, but something that I do love to do are lists of any type. As I mentioned I've made my top 100 fictions of all time (in order), tier lists of every kind and a lot more examples. I feel that that is why I found MAL so quickly after starting to watch anime, because I was looking exactly for a place like this where I could have very well organized these things.
I've never touched a Nioh or Tekken, but they do look really fun. Right now I'm finishing Metaphor: ReFantazio and before that I played the Elden Ring DLC (another masochist experience, that Radahn guy is pretty good) which actually entered in my top 20 favorite fictions of all time (I have a list for my top 100 fiction of all time, that was really fucking hard to do lol, I put it in my MAL profile because all that effort was NOT going in vain), so that was definitely amazing to play.
"Yes, as almost all people are relaxed and laid back, so there should be no worries when talking to polish people."
Yes, I've always wanted to know people from all around the world. I always found it worthwhile to do so.
"I've discovered anime medium in late 2019 via 7 deadly sins on netflix to then started with first long running shows like naruto in early 2020 which also what helped me got into anime was through Japanese games like resident evil (playing the mainline series since re7 2017), tekken, and some other Japanese games."
I actually watched DBZ and Inazuma Eleven back when I was a kid because those shows (especially DBZ) were and still are massive in Latin America. They literally put at least 5-6 hours of DBZ Kai every day for years on Cartoon Network and channels like that. I think that getting into other japanese media really helps as you pointed out. I swear that if Japan suddenly stopped existing I would lose like 90% of my current entertainment hahaha (that is actually probably exaggerated because I do watch and play football, basketball and chess along other things so I'd probably be fine). Probably my fav japanese videogame company would be Atlus, I loved too much 13 Sentinels and Persona 5: Royal, and I'm currently really liking Metaphor as well. A cousin of mine loves the RE games and they do look really good, I would like to try the remasters.
"during when my own "in house" manual tracking system via creating folder and sub folders with txt files inside it categorizing seasons and then inside these txt files episodes watched and remaining to watch, in which this folder of mine gotten more larger becoming more unintuitive to use, while at the same time accidentally discovering mal back in 2022 as back then I did not knew the existence of it yet."
Lol. That probably became a mess over time. I had the luck of starting watching anime around the same time I discovered MAL. As I said before when I was a kid I watched DBZ and Inazuma Eleven but I didn't really watched anything more besides that. Then when I was like 16-17 another cousin recommended me Attack on Titan and Food Wars and we watched several episodes of those in his house. That was pretty fun (around 2018-19). Then midways through 2020 when we were all locked up I was bored and I remembered that anime existed so I decided to watch Death Note. Fortunately I had not watched an insane amount of things before discovering MAL later in the year so I just added everything I had watched until that point and since then well... they just go into the platform.
