It is, but in a good way, at least for me (I'm a Dragon Ball hardcore fanboy, so even little crumbs are good for me).

Also, JVskunkape's review is by far the best and most fair review, give the review a once-over before you decide if the anime is worth your time.

haha, nice. i actually have smash on switch too, but i never got to play it enough. i practiced enough to win a few games whenever i visited other people's houses, though.

ngl, sephiroth is one of those characters i'd play whether he's meta or not. he's just too cool. i'd probably pick him in any game if he showed up.

also, a fellow persona fan, nice. joker is such a fun character. my mains are pikachu, joker, sephiroth, and sonic.

and yeah, those zero combos are ridiculous. you basically have no choice but to sit there and watch the other guy cook while he's comboing you haha.

Nice nice, between the character designs and the names amusing me immensely I definitely had interest in it, so it's nice to hear that it's pretty solid. Zero and five eight episodes in is kind of absurd though, always glad to see anime that long these days as well.

Yeah, that makes sense. Fighting games can get really deep once you go beyond casual play, especially with how much there is to learn like combos, matchups, and timing. At the end of the day though, nothing else really matters as long as you’re enjoying the game.. 1000 hours in Smash is already a lot. Who do you main?

Not yet, I started Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens yesterday so I'll be watching some more of that later; very obviously a children's show, which I am mostly fine with, and the first episode was really good. I've been re-reading the two volumes of part two of Chainsaw Man that I've previously read as well and then I'm going to finally read that in full, and that's been fun.
What about yourself, how's Beyblade X so far?

That's fair enough; no question about what she did to Denji and everyone else being insanely awful, and I don't think I'd count her amongst antagonists that ought to have succeeded either, I suppose I don't know what I'd call her actually, definitely not 'good' though, but to me evil is more pointless than what she was doing - there was a definite point to ruining Denji's life, but I also understand most people don't look at things the way I do and I wasn't quite intending to get this philosophical here. It's a great ending for sure, I can still remember it super vividly to the point that it's kind of insane, and absolutely: Denji deserves it. I super need to re-read part one actually, it's been too long.

Oh no I get that, I think sometimes I read shorter chapters slower because of all the starting and stopping but at other times it's easier because there's not so much to read to finish a chapter. Yeah, Denji deserves none of what happened to him; all of his happiness is fake and Makima isn't even using him in a sense, just looking straight past him at Chainsaw Man - which makes how Denji kills her all the more cathartic; people call him stupid but he utterly outsmarted her there, like I think he's pretty smart, he just never went to school and doesn't know things. Power's death was brutal but she in a way had the last laugh, Aki's is just tragic though - no wonder the Future Devil made the contract with him. I don't think I'd call Makima evil though, like I can't object to her goals, but her methods are so uncaring that I'm wondering why that's even her goal. I don't think she wants to make the world a better place at all, I think maybe she just has that goal because it involves Chainsaw Man.
