there's something in your eyes that is keeping my hope alive

Okay, I thought system restore (back to Sunday) took care of my problem, but now my little search thingy doesn't have Google in it, and my right click menus don't have adblock listed, though ads I've previously blocked remain blocked, and flashblock appears to be working.

What the fuck?

Has anyone else suddenly had random problems with extensions just suddenly not working?

(I am posting this from Safari, btw, because apparently clicking on buttons no longer works, either. WTF? I have already rebooted and reinstalled and done a system restore. What the fuck else am I supposed to do? Is there an adblock and a flashblock for Safari for Windows?)

Ahahahahaha! Wil Wheaton! He was a bad guy on Criminal Minds, too, you know. Love the Star Trek shout out. And Parker knowing it. Man, I wish they would make her more responsive to Hardison's flirting.

MARRY ME, HARDISON! ILU SO MUCH! Please come and fix my Firefox troubles.

And they actually made me really care about Sophie here. And Nate. Good job, show.

By now you've read Mo Ryan's interview of Eric Kripke, yeah? It has some mild spoilers for S5 for the truly spoilerphobic, but nothing that you couldn't figure out, I don't think, given where S4 ended, though I guess some of the casting stuff might be new if you aren't spoiled already.

Overall, it didn't make me cringe as much as some of the other things they've said about s5 so far, though I really would like Kripke to remember that Sam couldn't have broken the last seal if Dean hadn't broken the first, and while I don't blame Dean for breaking in hell, and clearly there'd be no show if Sam had stayed dead, Dean's decision to sell his soul to bring Sam back was not exactly grade A decision-making on Dean's part. He sold his soul all in one go, and Sam sold his piece by piece, but I think they're both culpable, which is one of the things I find really fascinating, and wish the writers would keep in mind.

Also, I think Ryan's list of must-see episodes is short on season 1, where you really need "Home/Asylum/Scarecrow/Faith" and "Something Wicked" to get why Sam and Dean are the way they are. And I don't think "Mystery Spot" is missable, mostly because that's where Sam breaks and he's basically batshit insane from that point on, which explains A LOT about his behavior at the end of s3 and in s4.

That said, of course I am psyched about Jo and Ellen and Jessica and Meg! If only they could let Bela out of hell to wreak merry havoc on the landscape (and have angry wall sex with Dean).

Plus, they're revisiting the demon virus of "Croatoan." FINALLY! YAY! *is cautiously optimistic*

And seriously, all I'm gonna say about their Good Omens ripoff episode is that they better spring for some Queen. Maybe they could get a recording of Jeffster! doing "Fat Bottomed Girls."

And, in the forty minutes that I've been trying to get Firefox to work and post this, I have learned that the CW is offering a free download of the version of "Oh Death" used in the latest promo. You can get it here (even if you don't like the show, it's a cool version of the song). Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] tripoli8 for the tip.

Lord knows, the show (and the fandom) has its issues, and I am fully aware of them, and sometimes I wish I weren't so emotionally invested in it - the show I mean - so I could stop watching when it gets really upsetting in those ways, but I am, and this is why. There is not enough oh, boys in the WORLD. Don't watch it someplace you can't cry. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] girlmostlikely for the link. Also, what is that song? It's perfect.

What, you mean "Croatoan" is no longer going to be the biggest waste of time ever? (Well, you know, if they don't screw this up.) Cool!

I call that episode, "I'm never getting that 42 minutes of my life back." Yeah, not one of my favorites.

I randomly got here from this Network page thingy, but I thought I'd let you know I often have issues with disappearing extensions if I do a system restore. Usually adblock goes and flashgot and a few others. I wonder if that's because they've been updated since the last system restore point has been set and when you roll back it rolls them back right off your computer? I'm just guessing here, but that's all I can figure, because the ones that update the most often for me are usually the first to go.

Anyway. Just popping in and saying that yeah, it happens to me too. :)
