Mori no Ike Community

はじめまして、皆さん！ I'm Midnight, and I'll (hopefully, if nothing goes crazy-wrong between now and June) be attending the first gakusei session this summer at Mori no Ike. It's my first time at any Concordia village, and honestly my first kind of sleepaway camp that lasts longer than like five days.

So! I am the kind of person that wants to know everything about everything before getting into it. I've looked up every youtube video, every google link to ten pages, every flickr and lj entry I can find. (I don't mean to sound stalkerish ^^; I'm just voracious for info! MnI sounds like the most amazing thing ever, and I'm just bummed I didn't know about it years ago!) Anyway, I've found out a bit, but the info's mostly piecemeal. So I thought I'd revive this community with some questions! :D

Anyone remember a work out song we did at Mori No Ike that had the chorus "ich, ni san, ich ni san, ich, ni, saaaann!!". I can't for the life of me remember the name of it or the lyrics to try and find it T_T

I had previously uploaded all of the available Mori no Ike songs individually, but this time I've done it in two big batches!

For 森の池 campers on livejournal, 'cause I know there are a bunch (at least 131, seeing as that's the number of members this community has) of them out there somewhere. xD I hate losing touch with my camp friends and I'm sure other people feel the same way, so this is an attempt to make is possible for fellow Mori no Ike campers of past, present, and future to meet old and new friends who share their interests!

I just submitted my application to Mori no Ike to be a sensei.
EEEK!

Sakura is writing me a reference, and I'm a lifeguard, and I'm going to Japan this spring... the only huge thing that bothers me is that I'm having the interview BEFORE I go to Japan, and I KNOW my japanese is going to get a lot better while I'm there, so the interview maybe won't give a totally accurate picture of what my language skills will be when I get back. And I'm not sure how to explain/deal with that without hurting my chances. Thoughts?

I'm doing a college paper on linguistic creativity among language learners, among other things, and am looking for examples.

What are some words/phrases invented and used only at Mori no ike?
They can be Japanglish, multilingual sentences, whatever.

Not things that counselors teach you to say like "Sooji no KAMI-samaaaaaa...”; things sensei, gakusei, or seito make up that aren't "real" nihongo.

If you know, I'd like to know whether they were invented by villagers or counselors. Either way, I want to hear them.

Examples: ピ乳 (pi-nyuu)、ブル乳 (buruu-nyuu)、"daijobs" rather than 大丈夫 (daijoobu)
Anything you can remember will be a great help!
