Because Jeffrey-tachi were planning on going to Garden City for Christmas to help his aunt, we had Christmas early. So this is all about what I got for Surrogate Christmas. :O~

Around six this morning Jeffrey got sick with stomach pain, so after much long and tortuous discussion, Lindsay and Caitlin went to Garden City without him. He's supposed to go out there when he's feeling better, and Tom mentioned me going so long as I avoid PDA, which is apparently what Momma doesn't like about me. ?????? But I think I'd rather spend Christmas with Mom, since we told her we would and I don't want to make her sad by choosing people who don't like me over her. :9 I hope no one gets offended or upset with my decision. >.<'

OMG, Janet just gave me a pair of SmartWool socks! *o*~!!!!!!!! These are so amazing! Since she got my pair of polar fleece socks, these are in exchange. X'3 Wonderful~!

I haven't gotten presents from Sarah or Mauri yet, but I assume we'll get together over break sometime and swap presents. <3 I can't wait~! I'm in a really good mood, and I can't wait to see my friends. :'D

I'm finally getting excited about Christmas, which is probably a good thing, since last year I was excited a month before and out of Christmas spirit by the actual Christmas day. So! I'm excited. :'3 Can't wait for all of the fun stuff~ Yay! <3

Classes have gone okay, beyond giving me so much work I've been stressed out a lot. Lots of papers to write. @.@' I should be getting As in everything but one class. The last teacher for it kept going, "Well, you should expect [blah] because this is a 500-level class." XP

I'm getting all excited about movies that're gonna come out. Watchmen looks amazing. X'3 And Mac and PC commercials are so cute! ;~;

So, um. Classes are interesting. Right now four of them are all focusing on historical aspects of whichever cultures we're looking at, which I find amusing. Also, I love the Medieval Period. *o*~ So much fun! X'3

I really shouldn't be on here, but I'm on break between Beowulf and "Erec and Enide". Whoo~ My brain starts to die after so much reading....

Happy July, guys! Oh, wait, it's August. Whoops~ I fail. >.<'

Lessee...what all's happened since I last posted ~7 weeks ago? :/

We went to Chicago the end of June/beginning of July, which was fun. Met Jeff's family, and they're all pretty cool, even if they have their frightening little quirks. For instance, one of his uncles is always on a mission, even when he's chewing his food. o.o~ It was a little hectic rushing around every day finding awesome exclusive-to-Chicago things to do, but at least there were a wealth of bookstores so I could get caught up on Love*Com and Fables. <3!!!!! And Caitlin didn't get too bad, but Dylan was unbearable sometimes. XP

After that we drove through Wisconsin, where apparently the Dells are some huge thing, up to Minnesota. Yay, I finally got to see my Whitney! :'D Dustin was being pretty nice, too, even though we were there to steal her from him. Aw~ Minneapolis is pretty cool, and we got to eat super-yummy Chinese food with my cousin Dan. *o*~

That only lasted a day, alas!, for then we went up to see the rest of our family for a few days. Grandma and Grandpa are getting old, but it was so great seeing them! I loves my Grandpa. X'3 Whenever we visited them we wound up playing cribbage, since what else is there to do in backwater Minnesota? XD~

We stayed with Ruth and Chuck, who were really awesome. <3! It was so much fun sitting around talking to them, and the break felt wonderful after all that running around the week before. And we saw Scott and Uncle Tim a little, and my dad and Annie on one day. Dad's getting gray hair. o.o! It's weird~

Everyone liked Jeff, which of course made me happy, but it was even better that he liked all most of them! X'3 And he even asked when we were coming up next and started saying he'd bring up some guns for my uncle to shoot. :O~ Excitement~!

Came back through Minneapolis, got Ikea apartment furniture, and bang! before I knew it, Laura Button's wedding had rolled around. @.@' That was all kinds of hectic, but it was still ultimately fun. I'm really glad Laura and Daniel have such great friends, though I hope Laura still remembers us way up in Kansas. ;~; Speaking of which, Severo's supposed to come through town today on his way back from another groomsman's wedding. :/ Wonder if we'll get to hang out~?

We started moving into our apartment on Wednesday, and I can't wait until we get settled in there. :'3 School's approaching so quickly! I hope I do fine with my classes, since all of them should require a lot of reading and writing. I hope I still can have free time! >.<'

I picked up a book earlier this week, "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!", which is, I think, the autobiography of Richard P. Feynman, even though it's really more a bunch of silly anecdotes about his life. Enthralling reading! For the first time in a few years I'm almost done with it within the week, which makes me feel invigorated. Anyway, I recommend it SUPER-STRONGLY to people who like physics, interesting lives, people playing tricks, and most everything else. <3! If I could, I'd go ship a copy to a bunch of people whom I know would love it, but I'm just a poor college student. ;~;

Also, Gurran Lagann is even more amazing than I thought was possible. Whee~! The dub's mediocre, though. D:~ The problem is that Kamina's not supposed to sound like just any guy picked off the street, he's supposed to be pompous and bombastic, which his dub actor is not. ToT~~~~ Wonder if the ADV one would've been any better?

Oh, and apparently some guy read through the entire Oxford English Dictionary, which sounds like loads of fun, and then wrote a book about it. I think I'd rather read through the OED myself than read his book.... 8D~ One thing I learned from the article is that there's a word for the scent of rain rising from pavement - petrichor. X'3333333 Just goes to show how many great words there are out there that get missed because no one sifts patiently through the OED. Wish I had room to remember all that stuff. ;~;

And a new word for dictionaries! An onosecond is the time in which it takes you to realize you have done something onerously wrong. X'3 Fun stuff~~~

Once again, long time no post. o.o~ It's crazy how I somehow don't find the time to get on here over the summer. You'd think I'd have nothing better to do, but I guess my existence sprouted the semblance of a life. >.<'

First things first! I'm getting ridiculously excited for the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. :O~ Even though they haven't really announced anything. XD The cover for the latest Newtype was enough to get me stoked, though. <3! Haruhi looks so hot in that uniform~! X'3 And they redid the character designs. Crazy~ Kyon looks so weird as a bishounen. ;~;

I'm getting addicted to Love*Com, which is potentially bad, considering that there are still five volumes of the manga floating around I need. o.o' Maybe I'll download the anime and content myself with that. :D?! And I need to track down the live-action movie sometime. XP~

My obsession with Macross Frontier is, predictably, spreading over to other things Macross. o.o'''''' This means I'll probably be downloading the stuff that's unlicensed sometime and finding a way to get my hands on the rest of it somehow. XD I'm so behind the bandwagon!

I got Emma yesterday, and Jeffrey loves it! <3!!!! Yay~ So much so that I might wind up getting the second season after all. Whoo~ He thinks it's weird that people in Victorian England are speaking Japanese, though. Obviously they speak it everywhere! >:O! Does that make me too otaku? Also, Jeffrey thinks I have impeccable taste in anime. XD~ So cute. <3

And now on to something unrelated to anime! :O! I don't have to take out student loans next year! X'3 So exciting! And I might even have extra money. Wai~ I can't wait. Hopefully next year will be awesome! ^////^~

Did I mention that we built a fence along a side of the backyard? Today and yesterday we put up the front of it, including a gate! :O~ So cool! And it even swings properly! Mwahahahahaha~!!!!! 8D! Makes me feel all useful and stuff. :'D

I got to see Lyssa on Sunday, which was pretty cool. Made fun of her, of course, which was fun. And I got a dragon! <3 Saw Mom yesterday, which was okay~ Wonder when I'll have to see my grandparents. o.o' And we're going to Minnesota later! Yay! And I got to see Josh and Sarah, and I see Mauri pretty regularly, as well as Diane~ Only person I haven't really seen is Laura. o.o' And you'd think she'd keep in contact with her bride's maids, but whatever~ We'll see what happens with that wedding. XP

I also haven't seen Whitney! D:~ I think I'm starting to miss her. Is that sad? Either that or I'm exceptionally hormonal. It's great being able to text her all the time, but it'd be much nicer if I didn't have that barrier between us. *sigh* I want my Whitney back. ;~; Hopefully she'll want to come back when she does, because I miss her and all, but mopey Whitney sucks. XP Just watch her mope for the rest of the summer.... Blargh.

Wooooow, it's been a while since I've posted on here. o.o' Hard to find time to check my e-mail, let alone type up a post.... Time flies when you're having fun! :O!

I made Jeff watch Genshiken with me, which was awesome. :O~ He's been watching anime with me, and (un)surprisingly he's enjoying it! <3 Anyway, Genshiken! :O! It's all about otaku, so Jeff had fun relating the otaku and their experiences to dating me. ;~; It's especially useful since it focuses a lot on Saki and her issues with Kohsaka in particular and otaku in general.... That's also why he vaguely enjoys Lucky Star - Konata reminds him of me. X'3 And then I get to spout off about random otaku references~ @.@' Makes me feel like a major Japanophile, when I don't think I'm that bad!

The only problem with Genshiken is that the OVA that bridges that gap between the first and second seasons only comes with the Kujibiki Unbalance series, which is supposed to suck. XP It was hard enough getting through the OVA episodes on Genshiken that were cliche on purpose, let alone a reimagined show with even more awful character designs! D:~ So I might just rent them for the OVAs and call it good. ;~;

So, what I'm doing this summer! I think I'm going to wind up as slave labor where needed. So far we've put up a fence, gone through a lot of Jeffrey's childhood crap, and put down hardwood floors in his closet. More exploits to follow! Whoo~ I'm also getting up around nine or ten consistently every day, which is new for me. @.@' Who knew I could do it?! Helps that I get breakfast. X'3

Did I ever mention that I got a new phone? It's awesome, and I love it. X'3 The best thing is I have unlimited texting, so I can talk with Whitney all the time and keep from getting lonely. :O~ And I can send her pictures of the puppies to incite her jealousy! Mwahahahahahaha~! :'3 And, um, I can put songs on it, which means I can listen to my pretty J-pop wherever I want. ;~; Amazing!

Eh, that's really about it. Not too much going on. D:~ Except Jeffrey wants to rewatch Haruhi! Ohhohohohohoho!!!! I love converting people to Haruhiism. >D~

Anyway! Time to float off to hug Jeffrey, then to bed. >:!

I'm getting pretty obsessed with Macross Frontier. It's amazing! *o*~~~ Great characters, great plot, great animation, and great music! <3 Yoko Kanno, I bow down before you! It seems like every episode they whip out a new song, and I love it. I can't wait for the next songs to come out on CDs, and I definitely can't wait for the next episode to get subbed. *///*~ Wonderful!

This makes me want to go digging for Macross Plus to see what pretty music it has. D:~

We saw Iron Man with Emma last night, and it was pretty good. Not the best thing since sliced bread, and definitely not better than Batman Begins, but still fun. Made me feel like driving shiny, fast cars around and generally kicking ass. @.@' Didn't help that I got the main theme stuck in my head, which they repeated whenever something bad-ass was going down (which was all the time). Even worse than PotC can be in that regard! The entire movie was like an adrenaline rush....

It also had trailers for movies I'm looking forward to, like Indiana Jones and The Dark Knight! :O! Soooooo excited! X'3 The Incredible Hulk looked interesting, too, but we'll see if I actually see it. Yay summer movies~ <3!

New phones are shiny, and I can't wait to put more songs on them. *o*~

School's almost out! Finally. *melts*

Today consists of driving to Ark City, seeing Sarah's recital, and driving back. :9 And I have to read all the way? D:~

In my math class today we married people. o.o' It was completely crazy, and people were making cracks left and right. XD We had to make a preference matrix, and then the girls would approach the guys, who could reject them.... No wonder so many marriages fail.

I'm done with my paper! Yessssss~ It felt really nice to be able to sit down last night and edit it instead of frantically writing pages of it. X'3 Very nice. I hope I do better on it because of that. <3

And now! Practically no homework after this weekend! >D~ I'm so excited. Next week I'll have nothing to do! Think of all the fun things I can do instead.... *o*~

Wait, I still need to write Dad. Whoops. Guess I'll do that next week....

Gaia's evolving items make me very excited, especially the Enchanted Book. *drools* Hope it turns out wonderfully fairy-tale-tastic! @w@~

I keep forgetting to write about this, but last week at anime club some people called Whitney and me weeaboos because we went to Japanese camp. Like they think it's wrong to like anime and be interested in Japanese culture. Um, I'm sorry, but I think you should have some appreciation for the culture it originates from. It makes a lot more sense if you have some idea of Japanese culture, especially jokes. Plus, Japan is interesting. I'd love to go over there someday, and not just to go to Akihabara. And even more than that, I'm interested in most cultures that are different from ours, Japan just happens to be related to anime. :/ Stupid people piss me off.... I'm not even going to get into how annoyed I get that no one else buys their anime.

Also! I'm really glad the summer movie season's starting! :'D! I'm looking forward to a few movies that I can remember now, and probably more when they actually come out. Iron Man 'cause Shinji said it's awesome and it's related to comics, Speed Racer to see what they did with it, the new Indiana Jones because it's Indiana Jones, and The Dark Knight because, um, I'm a Christian Bale junky and loved the first one. XD Can't wait~ <3

Apparently we're getting new phones that we should have for a while, and I'm getting really excited. My own phone! Yay! X'3 It's spiffy, too, and we can even put songs on them. :O~ So far the only song I've got in mind for a ringtone is the Escaflowne battle music. XD~

Someday we shall go with Laura to Topeka for bride's maid dresses, and it shall be exciting. I hope. Being girly always freaks me out....

I'm so excited it's the weekend! I'm off to revel in it! >:@!
