Writer's Block: You Wouldn't Understand
Almost everyone coins or uses expressions that make sense to only a few people. What word or phrase do you use most often that you have to explain the meaning of to others?
"My Spleen!" as a term of shock or surprise. This came from hanging out with a bunch of my freinds at a carnavil when I was a young ed. There was this ride called the "Superlooper", it was basicly a giant loop with a covred car. All it did was go around and around in circels. When you were at the top they would often hold you in place at the top. People would yell and scream at this point. As we passed by we heard some one scream "MY SPLEEN!"
It stuck with me ever since.
