The whole shebang

Here's the entire Daemon's TV interview with Alex.

Spoilery kind of sort of if you're a complete spoiler virgin but he really doesn't give anything away... verbally.  :)

ETA: I love the idea of Mick being a student of hematology, of vampirism, so to speak.  I like that a LOT.  And his discussion of Mick's dealing with the blood at Josh's death.

On Heartbeats and Moonlight Vamps and Spoilery Photos

Question for you, my kittlings.

Okay...

I've seen in much fanfic involving Mick and Josef, the idea that vampires in that universe do not have heartbeats.

Is this Moonlight Canon, or is it "fanon," or a set of canon made up by fans?

Here's why I ask:

In "Dr Feelgood," when Mick and Beth come upon the body of the good Doctor's wife, and Beth asks Mick if she is a vampire, Mick says something like, "she's dead." And Beth asks... something like, "are you sure?" and Mick says, "no heartbeat..." and then "he didn't turn her, he just murdered her." Again, I'm paraphrasing, but wouldn't that suggest that Moonlight vamps *do* have a heartbeat? Maybe?

Is there someplace in any of the episodes where it's mentioned about the lack of heartbeat?

Enlighten me! :)

"Mick St. John, as a normal guy, before he vamps, is one character; but Mick St. John, in full vamp is another beast altogether."

In light of what we saw in "Love Lasts Forever," *makes 'coffee talk' gesture."  Discuss.

As a side topic... what do you all make of the "roar," of the high-pitched whine that accompanies it?  Of the noise made when Mick transforms (I kind of dislike the verb, "to vamp")?   Does it sound like anything you've heard before?  Obviously no human can make that scream noise with vocal cords alone.  Thoughts?
