Not much to post about. I’ve been pursuing breaking in a new generator, an inverter; this purchase was the outcome of hours of online research and chat, and physical energy getting things just right. I thank [personal profile] c_eagle for his input and encouragement in this time consuming quest! :o)

I’ve spent a lot of time on reddit lately, mostly in r/generator but also in r/canning, r/snowblowers, and, of course, r/plushies. The latter all but crashes the iPad and I think it is the amount of pics posted! I also peeked in on r/plushophile (NSFW); I’m not sure what I expected, but it wasn’t what I wanted to see :o(

Today at home I replaced the front wheels on my lawn tractor: exciting, eh? I’m very happy with the tires-on-rims I got from Amazon. No cursing, as one reviewer said, at trying to replace just tires on existing rims :o)

Our internet went down last week; 20 minutes on hold to reach a tech, but he solved whatever happened. The whole affair was three hours at my end, trying to fix things before finally calling in.

And the next day the furnace needed a tech to replace parts and get our hot water back. Wheee!

Last night I replaced the aerators in all of our sink faucets (4). One of these was almost 40 years old; two others were almost as old.

Ah, well. Here are some comics/memes, some with comment, for fun.

New Yorker Magazine, I believe. More subtle than the War & Peas Red Riding Hood comic I put up long ago.

I was blown away by his comment when I first saw the Crumb documentary; my first furry love was Bugsy, and at about the same age!

Well, at least the issue happened this month rather than the middle of winter.

Good stuff!

I did a vinegar treatment of our back bathroom's aerator. It's weird. Front bathroom, kitchen sink: never need it. Back bathroom: a few times a year it starts producing a sloppy spray and it needs a soak. It needed it so many times last year that I decided to keep a snuff glass and a small bottle of white vinegar in the bathroom.

(Snuff glass: a glass that snuff used to come in, now used as a drinking glass (after a thorough washing.))

Ours have little plastic filter cartridges, not just screens.  But I know what you mean.

Hah!  That's pretty funny!  Yeah, the hardware store might question why he was needing screens every month or so.

:D

No need for a cut. Like, I have an RSS feed in my reading list that is gigantic. A half dozen comics is a breeze. The Bizarro one is the pick of the bunch, but no way Baby Bear is 70 years old.
