Too picky for fic?
I'm the first to admit I'm a complete fangirl and love to read fan fiction. There's only a handful of fandoms/pairings I will read at the moment and I'm having issues finding anything to sink my teeth into. I always like to have a couple of fics going along with whatever actual book I'm reading at the time.
Is it too much to ask for something well written (proper spelling and grammar at the least), with a bit of a plot, and maybe a side of smut? 99.9% of the time I avoid PWP like the plague, but I'm ok with a little sex in my plot. But basically, I'm after a good story revolving around specific characters.
I think what sucks the most is the two main pairings I'm reading right now, are in shows that are no longer on the air (except in wonderful reruns on random cable channels). Thus making it difficult to find active authors in those fandoms especially once you've basically bled the current pool of fics dry in massive reading binges months ago.
I just finished a wonderful 36 story series and now I'm at a bit of a loss on what to read next.
There really is no point to this post. I'm not going to beg for recs, because I think there's maybe one or two people on my flist who even like the 2 shows I'm currently wanting to read. So I guess this was just to get it out there that I'm a fic-reading fangirl and leave it at that.
