Molly moved to Los Angeles recently, but she's flying into Boston for a few days to play the Concert for Howard Dean in Cambridge MA on Monday night. While she's here, she's playing two more gigs:
Cholmondeley's Coffeehouse at Brandeis University, Waltham MA Friday, November 21st, 9pm-midnight
Alpha Delta Phi at Wesleyan College, Middletown CT Saturday, November 22nd, 8:00pm
Concert for Dean, Club Passim, 47 Palmer Street, Harvard Square, Cambridge MA Monday, November 24th, 7:00pm - 10:30pm
hi, I am new to the community and thought I would take a moment and introduce myself. I'm kathi and in seattle. I just recieved both of mollys cds in the mail today (yay for cdbaby.com) and i love them. molly is fantastic. =) anyway, hello =)
Hello everyone! I'm Bethany. I just joined here (well obviously). My friend Karel got me into Molly's music, and I really enjoy it. I will be seeing her tomorrow night at Whimsy in Cambridge. I can't wait!
Molly's got another solo gig at a performance art night here in Boston! This time it's Whimsy, which stopped running a while ago and was recently resurrected by exoterica and her friend Markus Nechay. Same name, sort of a new series. I don't know who else is performing this Tueday, but I may know more later, and if I do I'll update this post.
Whimsy will be 9pm-midnight at The Zeitgeist Gallery in Inman Square, 1353 Cambridge Street. I think it's all ages and a $5 suggested donation.
Wow, an actually Molly Zenobia gig! It's been a loong time :) Well, maybe not a real full fledged Molly Zenobia show - she'll be playing solo and only doing about 5 or 6 songs - but it's the closest we've had to a gig for over a year, I think.
Molly will be performing at PAN 9 in Allston, MA (a neighborhood of Boston) this Saturday night at 9pm. Following her will be a performance night full of dance, music, comedy, performance art, and all sorts of neat stuff. I posted a lot more detail about this show, and PAN 9 in general, in my other journal, cosmusic: http://www.livejournal.com/users/c…
If you live in Boston, come! If you don't, but you know someone who lives in Boston, tell them about it! PAN 9 draws its own crowd, so people will be there to see her either way, but if they see a bunch of new people who have never been to PAN 9 coming because of Molly, we might be able to get her back there with the full band soon.
ok. i'm sick so i have no clue how many people we have in our lovely community now but to anyone who is here, hi and thank you for joining.
random nonsense: i am coffee deprived since i've been vomiting all day. not good. i miss my caffeinated friend. my computer apparently does not have enough memory to defrag. whatever. "wind chains" is brilliant. i want to be a mermaid but i can't even swim.
I'm Alisha (lecey is my livejournal username)and I'm from Atlanta, Georgia. I created this community in appreciation of Molly Zenobia and her astounding musical talent. Seeing as Molly is an independant musical artist, I thought it appropriate to create a community where more listeners with fine taste could access and share information about Molly, her music, and various other topics as you see fit--this is also a place for insomniacs to type away into the wee hours of the morning their innermost profound thoughts. Or if you feel just like being creative and want to post to a community of open-minded listeners, that's okay too.
:)
I first came across Molly's music a year ago when I was very sick and in a bad place in my life. Her music comforted me with her ethereal voice, brilliant piano work, and mesmerizing lyrics. In the year since, I have come to know her as a very dear friend and am honored to be a part of her life.
