Fallacy somewhere!

Hello MITG&SP! Thought some of you might like this. It's a Doctor Who fanfiction that explores a throwaway reference to the Doctor having stolen his coat from Gilbert and Sullivan. Enjoy!

Secret Garden?

Would anyone be willing to post the SG cast list? I'm dying to know who's in it, and there haven't been cast lists posted to the MITG&SP web site for years. :-}

Sheldon Brown Memorial

Dear MITG&SP People:

I am organizing an ensemble to sing at Sheldon Brown's memorial service on Sunday, March 2nd, beginning at 1:30pm. The service is at the First Unitarian Society of Newton, on Watertown St. in West Newton. I'm not sure about bus service on Sunday.

I would love to do "Eagle High" from Utopia Ltd. for a couple of reasons. King Paramount is a role for which I think Sheldon will be remembered, and he always had an eagle on his bicycle helmet.

Please email me if you are interested in singing. There's already a delegation going from Sudbury Savoyards.

MITGSP/NEGASS sing!

The MIT Gilbert and Sullivan Players are pleased to announce a joint
sing-through event with the New Engladd Gilbert and Sullivan Society,
to take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 9 in Twenty Chimneys,
located on the 3rd floor of the MIT Student Center (MIT building W20).
For directions to this building, please see:

We'll be singing through act finales from several of our favorite
shows. Below you'll find information about the roles in each of these
finales, some useful tips, and how to apply. If you'd like to join in
and sing the chorus part, an application is not necessary, but we'd
appreciate an RSVP for purposes of determining how much food to
supply. Send any replies to the gsp ec board. If you don't know the address, visit
web.mit.edu/gsp and use our webform to contact us.

Suggestion for future shows.

I have a suggestion for future MITG&SP shows. I think someone on the prodstaff should be responsible for buying a bottle of the tasty chewable Vitamin C tablets they sell at CVS (I recommend citrus flavored). That bottle should be distributed amongst the cast during the last few weeks of the production. It might fend off colds and flus that would otherwise prevent the cast from being able to sing during the shows...
