This weekend was crazy!
We picked up Leanna on Friday. Hung out long enough to watch My Bloody Valentine with the 3D glasses and laugh at the naked running. And watch YouTube videos. YouTube is aweosme. Then it was lights out for the night and up for 9 am. Got ready for the concert. Mum was irritable, which got me going. Just unpleasant all round. Until we left.
Then rained all fucking day. Omg. It was miserable outside. Cold and wet and we were right off the water, so I was surprised when the wind didn't kick up. My jeans ended up soaked right up to my thighs and my sweater was damp under my jacket and we eventually ended up sucking if up and buying little plastic rain ponchos for $5 a pop. I'm sure we were both very sexy. Mum, too. Oh! And they confiscated my blanket. It was just a little throw. What the hell did they expect me to do with that? Strangle someone? And then someone stole it!
I'm not a big fan of Blue Rodeo, but Theory of a Deadman was actually very good. Much better than the Waterfront I went to where they performed. We ended up camped out on the big hill, so the pictures of these two are kind of taken from an angle. In addition to the wet and the cold and the grass in my shoes Leanna had to go pee every two seconds. Swear to god, the girl has the bladder of a small rodent. I got Hedley t-shirts, but they were very small for larges and my mum ended up with one and a girl from work got another. Disappointing...

Seriously, these guys rock live. I mean, I figured. Jacob was also pretty awesome on Canadian Idol, but nothing compares to seeing him live. I luffed him. I would have his blue-eyed, rambunctious, ill-behaved children if given half a chance. He came out wearing a KFC bucket. On his head. And a garbage bag over his shirt! And he like, ballet pranced across the stage.
My mum loved this part. I think she was fangirling it up worse than me or Leanna. And that's saying something
Our Lady Peace was last. I was disappointed. We left early, 'cause mum's arthritis started bothering her. I didn't mind. I got to hear Clumsy and Innocent. That was enough for me.
