*ish an idiot*
Oh gah! it's 5AM, and I've been up for just over two hours... and it's all Anne's fault.
...well, sort of.
It seems the drabbles worked, and I'm writing again. *bigcheesygrin* and I've been kicked into gear to write on this story. It is Anne's story... pretty much all of it because she's the one who prompted me to write it. Not in so many words, but way back when, Anne put out the call for more Quatre action stories, and an idea I'd had swimming in the back of my head for over a year, took a new twist.
And the story arc - Boys to Soldiers to Men - was born.
Overall, it will become a collection of stories, some longer than others... some drabbles like what i've been writing... depicting the GW boys in the Vietnam era, centered around Quatre and his friendship with Duo.
The Boys section will contain stories of the group prior to becoming soldiers. Mostly memories between Quatre and Duo, but I hope to fill in some background for all of them in this section.
The To Soldiers section will be stories centered around the boys while in Vietnam. (Not sure if bootcamp will be part of this section or the boys section.)
The To Men part will be after they return... mostly in the recovery and living through the aftermath of the war.
That's the idea in a nutshell... and the idea that surfaced several months ago when Anne's call first came out. Other commitments, ideas and things pushed it aside, like a few other things, but I'm thinking its back now.
