random whining... and other stuff
it's cold. i mean, it's like 67 degrees in the house, and i don't want to turn the heater on. wah...
finished watching FFVII: Advent Children, and omg, it is fantastic. super live action animation, excellent fight scenes, and wonderful music backdrop.
the kids are gone until tomorrow afternoon. amanda goes to home coming with her boy friend (steady dating guy, but not exclusive). she has a hair appointment tomorrow at 3 so she'll be home before then. i told her i wasn't buying her a dress this time. she'd have to make do with one of the four she has in her closet. she's decided on wearing her prom dress again. which is a good thing because she looks fantastic in it. her step-mom is buying her some new accessories. *grin*
my compy shuts down when we try to burn anything off the HD. *glares* it gets too hot ... need a new fan or something. Steven tells me when he leaves for basic next week, i should just take his compy. which is a good idea... his is a better comp, and just move the dvd burner & make my HD a slave. more space, better compy... it'd work. but it just makes things so...final. him being gone, i mean.
my son is leaving in a week's time. i am so proud of him, but at the same time, i just want to curl in bed and bawl. :(

aju_scenes was just so fantastic yesterday... oh man, i'm still riding on the high it gave me. *smile* those guys do such a great job. there are still things needed to be worked out with the boys, but oh man... love the way they argue! ♥
finished reading TCP (Tokyo Crazy Paradise) last night, and I am sooo in love with this manga. it really does have something for everyone. just to share a few scans:
Tsukasa (main female lead) gives physical proof to Ryuji on her committment to him. the girl in the background was... well, you'll find out if you read. but she's not quite happy here.
The longhaired guy (...forget his real name and don't want to give his other name for spoiling) has this obsession with Tsukasa, and is waiting to take her away from Ryuji. Her promise (the kiss) was to tell Ryuji she wouldn't do that with anyone else.
The long-haired guy who's name I can't remember... isn't he just gorgeous?? too bad he's one mean mother...
This one is Tsukasa proving that she has what it takes to come out winning... even though she's been injured severly. Those tentacle like things are from a monsterish woman she's fighting. she'd been fighting this ...thing for quite some time, so her clothes are falling off her.
I have this manga stored here and am adding each volume as it lets me. however, i've only got up to volume 17. I read the translations for 18 and 19 here. It's not so bad, but I'm telling you, as soon as I can, I'd love to find and complete my set. This manga is that good.
the kitten caught a mouse last week. he hated the fact we had to take it from him, but oh man... he's going to be a good hunter.
there is a new GW RPG group coming out... i think it might be of interest to a few folks. more on that when the time is right. :)
having teenage kids able to drive and run errands for you is a mixed blessing. it means i can give them my debit card and a shopping list and expect to get most of everything (and a few extras) back. it means, I can give them twenty bucks and send them out for hamburgers and get dinner. hmmm.. most of the time. last week, the boys went to the store and came home minus the two things i really wanted. they claimed they couldn't find one (second time they claimed this!) i asked them again if they'd asked someone where it could be, and they were like -- but we're men! we don't ask things like that! oh boy... also discovered normal abbreviations just don't cut it. my notation of 5lb bag of pot was met with great glee when they got home. told me the groc store hadn't started selling drugs yet. *grin* POTATOS guys! Potatos!! hee!
having spinach and cheese tortellini for lunch - oh yum! just love this stuff.
need to finish beta reading commute, and work more on my novella fic. i might get mine done... i'm so bad in procrastinating.

and speaking of them, joined7snogs yesterday and claimed Soubi and Ritsuka from Loveless, and Uka and Mikami from Cho Ni Naru Hi. Hee! I've got a strong idea/plot thingie for CNNH, but only vague murmurs for loveless just yet. and am SO very happy to see 
windsorblue has claimed Trowa and Quatre.
