My ancenstry is a bit of Scottish, a bit of Irish, and a bit of Cherokee, with a nice heap of white trash thrown in there for flavor. I have family that has been on Jerry Springer and Divorce Court. High School Graduation seems to be a rarity in my family as well. I graduated. If I put everything I wanted to about my family in here, I think people would be scared to talk to me.

I like to watch movies. I like to sit around and chill and do nothing but talk about the past, present and future. I like to talk about bullshit philosophies and theories on life, love, and anything else that seems to come to mind at the time. I like candlelight and the cold. I like rainy nights and snow. I love to cuddle and would die for an apartment with a fireplace. I love romance. I'm very touchy feely and love to hug people.

I like to give flowers. I like to give gifts. Not because I've done something wrong, but to make someone else happy. On "holidays" like valentines day, I spoil my baby girls. Then I give flowers and gifts to my sister, mother, grandmother, and cousin. Sometimes to close friends. I believe that freely giving without any expectation or desire for something in return is better then sex.
I love random thoughts. I like people that can sit with you in a room without talking, and be comfortable with the silence. I love my friends. I have a fairly large tongue that my friends admire. I love bisquits and gravy. I'm a phat guy and I'm ok with that. I like to build websites, though I'm not great at it. It's fun and allows me to be a little creative. I write poetry and administrate a poetry forum (www.arcanumcafe.com). I have my own website (www.melnor.net) where I keep pictures of my family, friends and keep copies of my writing.

I wear my stocking cap because it keeps my head warm. I also like the way it looks. I used to wear Justin cowboy boots, and had a Stetson. I also used to wear Combat Jump Boots. I listen to loud rap music that shakes my car, and sets alarms off on the cars around me. The stereo in my car used to be worth more then my car, but then I got my Caddy and the world is a better place. No more lights held in with duct tape. I like to drive through North Portland listening to Country Music. Loudly. I love North Portland. It seems so alive. I like dives. I like going to places that are dark and smoky and where the staff members have many piercings.
I like chick flicks. I like to decorate. This is not to say I'm good at it, but I like to decorate my room and bathroom. I love putting pictures on my walls. Especially the big collage ones that hold lots of different photos. I like to smoke my cigars and my pipe. I don't smoke weed, though I have lots of friends that do.

I believe in education over restriction. Rather then restricting my children from something, I try and educate them and let them understand why they can/can't do something or say something. I belive that kids these days are babied too much, and that it's ok to get dirty and have booboos once in a while. It's ok to let your kids fall down and learn lessons. It's healthy. Everyone has to fall sometimes and babying them all the time is going to make things worse for them as an adult.
I like to offer compliments. I believe that if you see something that you admire or like, you should say so, appropriately. I also belive that accepting a compliment or a gift, honors the giver. It shows that you value their opinion and that you appreciate the thought.
I believe that for someone untrustworthy to become trustworthy, you must first trust them.

Some people say I let people walk on me too much. I say that most people become too jaded and wrong those people that don't deserve it. I would much rather put up with a little pain and suffering myself then become jaded and hurt someone undeserving of such an attitude.
I like to help people. I like to offer a kind word or assistance to those in need. I regularly stop on the side of the road to help those in need, and I offer a kind word to those I see perhaps need it. I like to randomly post in Livejournals. To offer a kind word to someone I don't know, and will likely never know. To let them know that there are people out there that care about others.
