WAHSJHDSKJHD

I can't believe the wireless internet at One Utama blocks Facebook and Twitter. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT.

So here I am, sitting at a booth in the middle of the walkway watching people walk past for 12 hours. Not too bad, considering that IS the job description. Anybody who's interested to get more information usually just walks up and makes an enquiry, which happens only once or twice an hour at most. Of course there are exceptions, but they are few.

I think I fared better when I was here with just a book and a sketchbook yesterday. Maybe I should switch my laptop off right now. Oh wait, I almost forgot, I still have my NaNo to write. >D
Boodeahdah!

(no subject)

Hi everyone, I'm home. Alone. I hitched a bus ride back last night from Penang so that I could start work on Friday because... I dunno, it just doesn't feel right to skip a whole week's worth of work just to attend a funeral. The grandfather was cremated yesterday and I followed through the proceedings. On Friday they'll be doing the 'zhap guat' (Hokkien, literally translates to 'Bone Picking') ceremony where they put the cremated remains into the jar using chopsticks (Each family member places one bone fragment into the jar).

Feeling kinda groggy at the moment (Slept at 2am, woke at 9am for some reason). Anyway, WHEE MY DREAM COME TRUE! A Compilation of all the Fables covers into one lovely book! (TT^TT) http://www.processrecess.com/?uid=…

I shudder when I think of how expensive this book will be when it comes out. DX

1st Week of Work and DS Frenzy

Hmm, my first week of work at Assunta Hospital wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, except for the fact that I thought that work starts at 9am and continuously went to work at that time for 3 consecutive days until my supervisor told me that I had to be at work at 8.30am

URK. B-but the lab head who gave me the internship told me it started at 9am...(TT_TT) Ah well. I must say that I've been learning quite a lot, especially some laboratory 'tips and tricks' that are not found in the textbooks, namely:

1. You do not actually need an anaerobic jar with any Oxygen Indicators or Palladium Catalysts or Gas-producing Bags. All you need is a candle and a biscuit tin. Primary school science, and 1000% more cost effective. OTL

2. Other than sterilising a site of injection, an alcohol swab can also be used to erase thing written with permanent markers on culture plates.

3. If you streaked a sample on a wrong agar and realise your mistake before you incubate it, just hope nobody sees you disposing your mistake in an autoclave bag. Under a lot of other used agars. 8DDD

4. If you streaked a sample on a wrong agar and don't realise it until the next morning...just hope and pray that your section leader doesn't bite your head off and that the patient whose sample it was will manage to live for another day. D8 (If you were wondering, no, I didn't make this mistake).

I've been feeling rather tired after work each day, but the thing that really saps my energy after work is that I STILL have to type up a report for my lecturer to submit it when the new semester begins. *sobs*

Oh a lighter note, I've been playing The World Ends with You (WEWY), Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, AND Apollo Justice all at random throughout the week. LOL? AAAAAH, WEWY's battle system is too addictive, and I've to much of a perfectionist togive up pins which could evolve but didn't that I'll always level up the same damn pins over and over again till I get their 'evolutions'...but some still refuse to evolve at all (and no, I'm not trying to evolve those that specifically state that they do not evolve). D8 Joshua Day 5 at level 65...hmmm...but my pin progress is still only at 16.1% waaaaaaaaargh. I WANT MY EXPERT MODE NO KTHX!? I'm playing with Neku at level 5 on expert...never tried level 1 though, ehehe.

Ok, enough random. Back to reporting. *SOOOBS*

First day at work

Yeah, after a day's rest I started my internship at Assunta Hospital today and man did I hit the floor running or what!?

After I registered myself at the Human Resources Department quite haphazardly ('Eh, weren't you meant to come in on the 2nd of May?') I was brought to the lab department and introduced to the staff there. Intro intro blahblahblah and then I was immediately introduced to the Vacutainer Blood Samples and how to categorise them according to the tests needed to be performed.

I'd love to elaborate more, but my fingers are hurting like hell since I got back from the BTN camp, both the side skin of my middle fingers attached to my nails were detached due to abrasion when I swung a rope to cross a small river, bleh. And about the BTN camp, I definitely will write about it in the near future, that no-good, abso-effing-lutely racist politically biased camp filled with pro-Islam/Malay trainers who keep reminding all the other races that they're still second class citizens. I think you get the general picture.

Last notes before going off:

-ARGH SO SO TEMPTED to buy the Honey and Clover Artbook I saw in Kinokuniya yesterday but I got Jimmy Liao's Sound of Colours instead. OTL

-sapphire_1010, are we still going to Catholic High this Friday? Because I've painstakingly gotten a day off work then XDDDD What time do we meet/how do we meet? ezelthecheezel, you coming or do you have a paper on that day?

-futomimii, do you think you can make it for dinner on Friday at that Thai Restaurant I told you about? I think I can pick you up if you can make your way to the Kelana Jaya LRT station ^^;; If all else fails, I guess I'll just have to go to your place. Whoever's interested feel free to drop me a message here.
