Follow Up

OK folks, thankyou to everyone who contacted me after my post regarding RPA.

In response:
Yes, it was the abscess again. Horribly painful, but not life-threatening.
It drained itself without need for surgery.
I did at least get one endone out of it.
They have asked me to schedule an appointment with the department head for the speciality so we can arrange a surgery that will fix it permanently.
Apparently fixing it permanently the first time was not an idea that occurred to them.
I am ready to work tomorrow, albeit at reduced hours.
It's the iPhone 3G S 32GB, black, on the Optus timeless 99 plan.
It makes me feel happy, although there are still features I need to work out.

OK... so I now have a new keyboard and mouse. Nothing particularly fancy, just a Logitech MX 5500 Revolution, but it's good points include the fact that it's not got the loud clack clack of my old keyboard, and the letters haven't rubbed off. Also, cool extra buttons for me to play with.

State of the Collosseum

1. Air Conditioning

My room at the Collosseum now has a 1200BTU/h portable airconditioner. I'll be able to move it into the living room when we have guests over the summer.

2. SLPA

Well, I'm the secretary again.

3. Course

Two weeks of class and an extra week at clinic. Then harrass them until I get my transcript/certificate. Then apply for ATMS membership. Then get insurance. Then apply for health care fund provider numbers. Should take about 3-4 weeks from receipt of certificate.

4. Monitor

Thanx to the amazing felix_femme, I now have an LCD monitor the same size as my CRT, so my desk now has considerably more space.

5. Inspector Rex

I now have season 4 on DVD. it's just cool. I want a big dog. And the guy who plays Brandtner.

6. Sleep Now.

O Internets, Where Art Thou?

Geek query

My net keeps dropping out. It'll be running fine, then stop without warning, and it won't come back unless I reboot my PC. I've tried switching router ports, no joy, and none of the other computers on my network seem to be effected. Any thoughts?

Tech and sick

Having finally found the CD for my keyboard and mouse, I've decided to scale back up to my mecha keyboard.

Fleabyte 2.0 now r0x my 50x.

I'm still pretty sick, and as such left Boot Camp pretty early, but I think it was successful. Boots that had not been cleaned since a party at Gina's have now been cleaned (stage 1). Some photos taken, will get them to liquidskin and felix_femme soon. Pseudoephedrine is good, as are antibiotics.

Love.

Fleabyte 2.0

OK, I now have tech.
As some of you know, my computer has been dying a slow and painful death for months. Fleabyte 1.0 has now been retired and shall serve as a bitzer once I've gotten all necessary files off her.

Fleabyte 2.0 has been born. Nothing too flash. An Asus M2NPV-MX mobo, AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ cpu, 1Gb DDRII533 Kingston RAM, a Samsung 250Gb SATA HDD, DVD burner salvaged from Fleabyte 1.0. More components to be added as needed. As I said, not a high-performance machine. She's a workhorse, not a gamer.

That said, Tech. New Tech. Functioning Tech. It is good.

Update on recent stuff coming soon.

Dear me, I've actually failed to update this thingamy...

First:
I was reading my f-list, and found this: http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/…
The image is from a Harry Potter fan news-site, and yes, it's work-safe, although you see boy-nipples.
I feel dirty. I saw the image and had bad thoughts.

Next:
The weekend that was:
Thursday night:
Got formal job offer from Maxxx Black. I'm a porno peddler now. XD
Did coatcheck for Advance Australia Fur. Absolute waste of time as far as fundraising was concerned.
Friday:
Swap Meat. There was much rejoicing. Thankfully I convinced dustandfox to attend with Wild One goodness, or it would've looked very thin on the ground in terms of stalls. Otherwise, quite a fun day.
Highlights included 15 minutes of "shoving meat between buns" jokes, the mountain of plushies being sold by the first lady of SLPA, and the look of shock on Lupie's face upon finding out that the mountain was only a small portion of the plush at first lady's home.
After: Took the 6 furs present (self included) and went to Balmain Fur Central and had wine. And happy lollies. And more wine. Fun and tragically munted time had by all. Also, dump and burn by an F-111.
Highlights included Lupie Tangents* and the shared looks of amusement and "Yes, Lupie" they engendered. Dustan Tangent. This one was flawless, and midsentence. One moment the subject was family interrelationships and suddenly it was the Wild One stock items at the Swap Meat. Another highlight was the Critical Standing Up Failure incident. I'll let Dustan tell that one at his leisure though.

Saturday:
Ikea. Mini-mum and I went to look at flat pack bookcases etc for the Collosseum, and found some reasonable ones. Went to purchase area and saw them, 5 metres up. We ask when they'd be moved into the "available for sale" section, expecting to be told a day or two. Two Fucking Weeks.
Work. First night as a porno dealing monster. Even sold some faux human horn.

Sunday:
Moved PC into bedroom with help of extra long cat-5 cable. Had JayFox over and had several hours of play. I even yiffed him. (For those of you who don't know, I get a little anxious about sticking my lower horn up tailholes. Dunno why, because I enjoy it immensely.)
Work. Got called in due to boss head-cold. Arrived late due to misreading the text message. Had a fun night.

Monday:
Slept. In fact, only woke up to attend SAG awards at fortress leichhardt. Helen Mirren was win. Very win.

Anyway, more sleep now, get garage door fixed, and get ready for centrelink interview wednesday. Also, Jury Duty on Monday.
