Crossovers
25 Sep 2010 11:35 pmSo, I've been thinking about this question and I'm curious: Which other shows or worlds appeal to you most in crossover fic? Either ones you've already encountered or ones you'd love to see!
Do you like them as sentinels? Going through the stargate? Fighting monsters and hunting things? What really appeals?
I'm still thinking about this one myself.

Now, other Westerns do lend themselves to the idea of crossovers - Deadwood, of course, and I've been pondering a Wild Wild West crossover idea.

Westerns, yes, the ideal crossovers! Even if it does sometimes require fiddling with times a bit; in that sense, we're actually fortunate the time is never specified on Mag7, so we can shade it a few years here and there to match up with a crossover better.
Wild Wild West would be a fun one. Though, man, it's been aeons since I last saw an episode of that show. I still do have a fairly good recollection of Jim and Arty, though. :)

Really, it is impossible for me to narrow this down enough, I just thought about the SPN/M7 crossovers that I've seen and I do like the boys in that world, too.
They just work so well in so many universes - anything where, as Fara said, there is enough lawlessness to let them be themselves.

There is an AU where they do black ops and I enjoy that. All forms of search and rescue (past, present and future)
Star Trek was fun, especially when they were "space cowboys". . .lol)
I could see Sliders, Primevil and even the old Time Tunnel ( as long as they were a group.)
They could be Jedi rebels. . .

Date: 28 Sep 2010 04:16 am (UTC)SG:A appeals to me, as I think there'd be some interesting personality match-ups between the teams... but I have a fairly specific scenario in mind for that one, so having them be just another unit of the Atlantis expedition wouldn't work for me.
Heh... and I guess this counts as a crossover. I was toying a while ago with a Riverworld-ish scenario, with each of the Seven being pulled into some conflict from a *different* time/place/au. The culture-clash element seemed like it'd be fun.
