And he desperately wanted to believe that love wasn't an either-or, except if the two people one was in love with didn't also love each other, one ended up with the unfortunate prospect of having to choose one of them or none at all.
Why This Must Be Read: This is an absolutely adorable story written by the amazing lavvyan shortly after the show's finale aired. It's a wonderful character piece that brings both Rodney's faith in logic and his confusion about matters of the heart to life in a truly heartwarming way, yet still makes your heart ache a little, too—not just for Rodney, but also for Jennifer and John, doing real justice to all three of them.
It's a story about weighing options and making decisions, sticking to them, and finding a sense of safety and belonging—only for life to have other plans and throw you a curveball.
Beautifully written and deeply sensitive, it makes you feel for everyone and leaves you with a smile on your face.
