ive befriended a seagull family that lives on my roof and one of them is the sweetest little lad and the other one is a creature of malice and hatred

i spent the first year and a half of high school at a private school, and then ended up at the local public school, and there were some pretty big cultural differences. i figured things like essays would be broadly the same, though. the first time i got assigned an essay at the public school, i was told it wasn't complicated, i just needed to make sure i had a works cited section. i was like, well, obviously. i turned the essay in with my nicely formatted works cited page, and got marked down because i had only listed sources i references in the essay. when i asked the teacher about this, they clarified that they had said "works sighted" and meant i needed to cite every single source i so much as glanced at and determined it wasn't relevant to my paper.

i went "i guess that's normal at public schools?" and moved on. and not a single person i have ever mentioned this story to has ever heard of a works sighted section.

Had a dream that markiplier was struck by lightning and imbued with electrical abilities. People were encouraging him to use his powers for good but he just went back to playing videogames. All the videos were about three minutes long because as soon as he got jumpscared there'd be a brilliant blue flash and he'd fry his computer.
