Challenge #8
In your own space, celebrate a personal win from the past year: it can be a list of fanworks you're especially proud of, a gift of your time to the community, a quality or skill you cultivated in yourself, something you generally feel went well. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I wrote! For most of 2021, I opened up blank documents and couldn't even think of anything to put down. After a while I gave up, typed brackets, and closed the documents. Some days I didn't even open the document. I love the
But after I posted it, I went back to the same pattern. I signed up for a couple of bingos, hoping the prompts might provide inspiration. Family: Hey Arnold! epistolary fic focused on Phoebe Heyerdahl and Helga Pataki (I'm especially proud of this one because epistolary fics are hard, and I wasn't sure if this would work)
A Welcome Visitor: Hey Arnold! fic focused on Olga and Helga Pataki
Childhood's End: Mulan fic focused on an original character from Mulan's village as per the prompt

Date: 2022-01-15 06:14 pm (UTC)One tip I have is to maybe avoid the word documents at the start - I like to jot down something in my notes app and figure out if it's workable and then I transfer into the document. And by that point, I'm confident I can make the story work. If it's not working out, I just leave it in the notes.
