Everyone rightly talks about "I carried a watermelon" but Baby casually drops some of the best lines in cinema. "I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I'm with you"? The scene where she makes her dad cry by the lake? Eleanor Bergstein you absolute hero

Dancing + music are good too I guess

I can see why it was so highly regarded, particularly at the time it was released - some of the dream sequences in particular are stunning. Unfortunately the poor dubbing (some actors clearly not even speaking the same language) and audio desynchronisation issues made the film a lot harder to get into, but still a really impressive film for the time.

It gets better every time, each time I watch it I pick yet another small detail out which gives new light to the plot

I just genuinely really like films that are superbly made, excellently cast and don't take themselves entirely seriously.
