More Wanted to like it more than I did. A lot of really funny moments for sure but couldn’t really get invested in the story or the characters. Joaquin does a really good job as expected and I liked watching his progression during the movie. But I could’ve used even more absurdity.
Will say Ari does a great job resetting the clock 5 years and being put in that environment and time again.
It was kinda a surreal feeling being transplanted…

Absolutely floored by this film. PTA made of one his best films in one of the most stacked filmography of nothing but bangers.
Everyone in this movie is ESPECIALLY Sean Penn, he definitely deserves an Oscar for this. All the technicals of this movie are so masterful. But it’s crazy for the entire runtime of the movie to just fly by as fast as it did. Not a minute after we wasted imo. This is contender for best film of the decade so far for me.
This being your follow up from Licorice Pizza is so wild but goes to show how talented PTA is.
