The MOST movie of the 90s. I think there's a lot we can learn from Bay's style and certain techniques he uses, even if the end result is this distasteful. Could probably write 200 pages on the freudian logic underpinning every line in this one
Nothing I can really say on this, just lovely, fantasticly slow and comfy meditation on the smallest things that bring us joy and comfort.
The posterchild for indulgence, there is no room here for anything sensible like shame or taste, and subtlety is a cardinal sin. Every frame is justified solely by mid-2000s rule of cool, and in its commitment to these rules it hits on something I hesitantly want to call profound.
Put simply, there's very few better alternatives when it comes to crazy, stupid, bloody fun. Every bit as good now as I thought it was when I was 12.
