It’s been almost four years since I watched this and rated it a 3.5 star. A major drop from the 5 star movie I remembered from my teenage years. 

I was both right and wrong. It is a 3.5 star standalone movie. But once you watch it as simply Act 2 of The Dark Knight Trilogy (immediately after watching Batman Begins), it becomes a much better movie.

This was the first time I’ve really understood the plot as deep as it is.

Chad Michael Murray and Jamie Lee Curtis (double triple first names club) flirting is so funny.

Absolutely blown away by how good this movie still is.

Insane plot hole to have CMM at the wedding though. Didn’t make a lick of sense. Also — this movie entirely takes place in the course of 48 hours, I would’ve never realized that as a kid.

I’ve never seen my life’s philosophies laid out with such precision and clarity. A beautiful film.
