Well-balanced in terms of allowing characters who oppose the pictures to have their opinions heard, but this makes a compelling case for freedom of expression and defending free speech.
Film makes good use of Mapplethorpe's pictures to illustrate the freedom of speech point being made without seeming sensationalist.

I may be the only person who thought the original Sicario was overrated: a great first hour that lost its way and ended up resembling one of the lesser Bourne films.
