Turns out I only remembered the middle section of the movie and context really is key for this one.

whatever i thought this was pretty fun and not just because of the gay stuff! pulpy 90 min b-movies with great looks and good performances used to have a place in our world and yet all i hear is whining! stop expecting a coen brothers masterpiece and start expecting a good time at the movies. i dream of a future where we have 3 lesbian margaret qualley romps directed by tricia cooke and ethan coen and everyone is glad they exist.
and also, i had way more fun watching this than scent of a woman this week! HOO AH!
just simply one of the better docs i've seen about anything topical and political. gives a sense of the scale of the work, the grit of the organizers and workers, and the stakes and power of labor without romanticizing unionization as the be all end all. damn there is a lot of work to do. i can't believe how beautifully this is shot, edited and presented. woof. also fuck amazon and all bosses everywhere.
