the only thing this has going for it is the dystopian setting. there’s no plot, so the characters are nothing but a vehicle for world building.

according to this movie, being made homeless is worth it, because you’re “free” and you get the chance to discover who you really are. i’m glad that was their experience, but the movie shows no sign of recognising what a privileged narrative that is.
